it looks very similar to the aquac ev series. i would mod that design a little to make it a beckett (better air injection than venturi from what ive heard )

yeah, ambient sunlight definatly makes a tank look dark. i wonder if it would give the nice shine of Mh lighting.

for a large tank i would consider it for anything under 4 foot it wouldnt be worth it.

great collection spot, tried getting water last week at takapuna :-? anyway tank is maturing really nicely, starting to look natural

they pack a huge whollop, but coralimorpharians (sp) are not all that afected by them (the only coral that can standup to them)

with an eheim i wouldnt bother splitting the return, the stand pipe on a durso should be bigger than the hole in the bottom

i thought about making a fake sand bed but cant be bothered making something that looks crappy i highly doubt my creative ability. i dont mind the BB look i prefer it to allthe hidden nasties that i cant see

the macro needle wheels would do for a fish only or softie tank. if your wanting sps/anemone's then you "need" a really good skimmer

not on a tank that big, ben (deepblueaquarium) has some needle wheel skimmers that are ok. not the best in the world but they dont cost the earth like deltec

you dont need a mega setup just for two clowns, for anemones yes. there is a guy here that has his clowns breeding in a viaaqua tank

im going to use t5s with one MH for punch on my new tank, might decide to add another mh depending on how things progress
