  1. no im thinking smaller or get the holes drilled in the sides and take that stand thing out from underneath. at the moment its oke because the tanks not on the top, but with the tank on top of it the way it is now it would be impossible to do anything in the sump
  2. i have finalised the order for my tank, i should be able to pick it up friday or early next week. im rethinking my sump design though, not enough room to move stuff around putting things in and taking things out.
  3. is it just me or does that thing look like the most evil mofo ever??? the mouth creeps me out, and the eyes are just looking for trouble.

  5. why four six foot sumps??? whynot one twelve foot display and one sixfoot sumps and a four foot water change tank??? other than all the added water its not really going to be worth the added effort
  6. think again hurts to be wrong doesnt it reef
  7. good stuff wasp, interested to find the outcome as i got some lasttime i was up there.
  8. could just be an evil crab, great picture
  9. why have the skimmer in one of the display tanks?? chuckit in the sump/fuge
  10. ill have to come have a look at your paddling pool reef
  11. almost all skimmers will make a little noise, some are quiter than others, the quitest ive seen in operation are the deltec turbo skimmers. the noise that frusted me the most wiht the viaaquas was the motor its self
  12. my brother used one, i wouldnt reccomend them for a few reasons noise, because its a venturi its a little loud, but also the motor's are a litle noisy price, for a little bit more you can get a far superoir skimmer ask steve about his biostar.
  13. they are both territorial and in a three foot tank they do not have the space needed to establish theirown space. how many of those tanks are constantly inhabited by the same fish?? keep us updated scatman.
  14. reef your tank is not 3 foot, you cant compare how fish intereact in your tank to how they will act in his tank.
  15. i doubt the six line and the gramma will coexist well long term. but the sixline will more than hold its own as long as its eating well.
  16. which fish was there first?? both are known to be very territorial, how big is your tank?
  17. they look very happy already, i still havent seen any saddle backs in nz that are the more orange colour.
  18. the nitrates my be causing it as the tank does its own mini cycle again, imo do a water change
  19. thats sounds a little overkill to be honest i would find that much bracing quite frustrting, i would much rather prefer the stainless brace to that
  20. that does sound good as i would prefer to have nothing in the middle if possible. any question about strength?
  21. 1200x700x500 (500 tall may turn to 600)
  22. i did think about pies version but im not sure if im going to have a collar or lid at the moment so i dont really want something the comes down on the out side of the tank

    bracing

what is the best way to do bracin to avoid light blocks and allow easy access to all areas of the tank???
