  3. try e-mailing the importers, if yuo get together an promise that you will buy a certain number they may get some in for you. expect to pay a bit. The ones I have seen in nz are brevis.
  4. my females are looking fat as well, looks like we should have jacobfreibergis around nz soon.

  6. we are just calling them a. jacobfreibergi, I have 8, they are probably the same as the line that wasalready here but don't mix them untill some of the new ones have grown up.

  12. here's a few pics I took this morning. Male venustus/giraffe - i'm quite proud of this guy, I raised him and his 7-8 brothers and sisters from eggs, he is about 17cm now I think. Male Baenschi - Just recently got 3 pairs of these - this is the best looking male. Male Jacobfreibergi - Got 3 pairs of these recently like the baenschi, best looking male again. Female fryeri - I know she doesn't look like much, I couldn't get a good pic of either of the males, I will try harder One of my julidochromis transcriptus - trying to scare me off I think. That's his/her hidey shell in the background. Male and female hansbaenschi (one of the females looks ready to breed so fingers crossed Male hansbaenschi again, one of my favourite fish at the moment.

  17. I had a full grown male a while back he was awesome but real old. Butterfly creek near the auckland airport has a 11 meter african tank with some nice comps in it.
  18. i'm already getting some, so I will probably breed them myself. I'm suprise none have popped up on tm yet.
  19. you're lucky getting 3 female yellows, people always seem to be after them. Johannes, I'm getting some electra soon, if I end up with more males than i need would you swap a male for a female?
  20. you mean dimidiochromis compressiceps? I have 3 of them, a female held for about 5 days but spat and nothing has happened since then. Mine are 6-7cm now.

    you must have contacts, some people on here work in shops or know people that work in shops, suppliers will probably give you a list of fish that they currently have with sizes but not prices.
  24. their fryeri are form Dan on the north shore - got 15 from him a while ago getting up around 5-7cm now.
