I also use the salt method, I recently got some rams and the day after i got them i noticed some white spot so treated with heat and salt with no issues after. I also add a bit of salt to all my tanks every second water change. Is that for shop/sales reason's?

once everything has esatblished it self it is rare, but is still a possibility. I often have a male eletric yellow hiding at the top of a tank out of eye line from the dom male

yeh i was talking about the fish :slfg: , discus was one of the fish I was considering to go in the planted tank. I never knew aros and discus were achivable together

by bigger do you mean longer or wider or water volume? havnt worked it out yet, not that far into the research, but was thinking most likely will be a silver to start

So sometime soon I am going to have two empty tanks. I want to do an Aro and friends tank and a High-tech planted tank. the two tanks I have for the choice are as followed First tank: 1700 L x 610H x 700 W, It has a hole drilled in the back right hand side for sump plumbing. Second tank: 1500 L x 650 H x 700 W, currently running an FX5 filter system. I am aware that Aro's get big and probably out grow either tank, when this occurs I would consider selling it getting a bigger tank :thup: One of these tanks will be in my fish room in the garage, the other will be in the study/office, but that will be decided on later after I choose plans and fish I dont have any current thoughts on stocking these tanks other then one will have a aro, and both will have some fancy plecos in it to suit on other fish selection , but the main objective rite now is too work out what tanks will be better for my up coming tank plans. So any thoughts, theorys, critisicm ( on my plans not me or my spelling :slfg: ), first hand experience, or websites to look at Thanks in advance Cam

I have anoter little planted tank on the build now as well :facepalm: I tryed to get some under it when i moved it, but was to heavy to do it will everything in it. that isnt final destination for that tank it will move when my fish room is done. That stand is actualy the stand for the sump of my 6 footer that sits above it, just made the most of the spare space while i dont need the sump going. that tank is pretty much sitting on the ground :slfg:

sure isnt, but behind the rocks/wood at the front is basicly an open area of water, excluding a couple of small crypts. There isnt a lot of water to start with, i think its only about 60L
