Gradually swap them out with noodles unless you already have some in there. Some filter wool will do the same thing as your sponge. My 1200 goes noodles with a sponge, then noodles with another sponge and then filter wool. Bottom to top.

I have got it on to prawn now which is handy as and from time to time it nibbles at the odd bit of dry food, so that is a start. Side note, it is taking the prawn by hand which is thing is pretty cool, but so is the arowana which I think may end up pretty scarey although they are both pretty gentle with it.... for now.

Yes No/sometimes/yes- I go through spurts of when I use it. (Prime) Matai river and no. A few years back (10-15) the chlorine was so bad in Nelson water that you had to let your glass of water sit for about 5 minutes before you drunk it. It came out of the tap a bubbly gross fizzy milky white. But it has improved dramatically. 3 years to 3 weeks. No.

I thought they were a bit toey, but nothing that over crowding and over feeding did not fix. IMO they are just like most other mbuna.

+1 on the cf1200, I use one on my 180L and it works great.

Agreed, often starting with 20 will lead to 15-17. Well that's my experience at least.

Have already been there to do and started some work with him. But I feel like when procrastinating study I should be doing something fish related, like finishing or working on quotes. I will look into that thank.

Cool, I will look into that. I was also thinking that with 16 outlets and five filters on each line I should easy have enough to go round. So I have three options now to play with.

Ohh yeah, I knew I was meant to reply too something. Not yet, the tank is too large to do that. Once I move close the tank down I will put it in its own tank and try that, until then I will keep up with feeders once a week or 10 days and keep on trying with just putting food in the tank.
