  1. that looks like cloudy eye usually due to stress mate.ive bought alot of fish like that and if you have healthy tank conditions it will recover well and have full function again.i bought a rotkeil severum and they told me it had lost its eye within three months the eye recovered fully and was as good as new

  10. hi im wanting to start one of these tanks exactlty like yours.can you tell me how you did it like do u have skimmers etc
  11. Yea I've still got them pretty sure there breeding bro have got that big through out will take pics when it's cleaned I asked him but he's bit short on cash
  12. do not seperate fish as the infections would have already spread but it varys at differnt stages and if that fish has it the pond also has that bacteria this knowledge is coming from 8 years of breeding and keeping goldfish.like i said remove plants and treat pond might not even be an infection could be its fins developing differntly as its maturing but try and get closer pics please and then should be able to identify it properly i would treat with fin rot and white spot together at half dose mixed with salt for 3 days and should see results if an infection mate
  13. hmmm hard to say whether or not that is an infection how long have those spots been there?does it eat normally around this time goldfish will be acting weird because its spawining time for them what i think you should do is remove the plants and treat the whole pond that should kill any infections and remove the risk of contamination.i use to be a goldfish breeder btw.its hard with goldfish becasue they are very sensitive fish in some ways especially to infections try get some pic of its tail up close if you can
  14. well i think you should probably set the four footer up for those sharks and an easier way to get your other tank set up is drain all water and fish into buckets then fill the other tank up with as much water as you can add new fresh water in add some declhor though unless on rain water and then you dont need to cycle add all your gravel etc and filter.this is what i do every time never lost a sinlge fish and have done it for over 7 years good luck with your fish.i personally dont quarintine my fish because ive never had any problems and if buying from reputable people not just some private trader with dodgy fish.get some test kits of your own much easier and can always have them handy when introducing new specimens maybe the fish stores tank are at different levels than yours and is just shocking them.golden barbs are very hardy so if something affects them youve got water problems
  15. i wasnt meaning just chuck them straight into tank iwas meaning i dont quarintine i just acclimatise them to the main tank floating bag etc but have never had quarintines
  16. i dont ever quarintine fish just put them straigh into your main tank maybe isolation is affecting them with stress etc
  17. sorry guys my dad has been super busy but he is bring me up a whole lot of timber and if there is enough i will build them myself he should be bringing wood up on sunday so pm that day to remind me
  18. haha yea will do once weather clears up mate
  19. yea im not using it anymore mate so i geuss so.it would look great with some oscars swimming around in it.and yea drury mate
  20. ive got a big breeding tub here mate its probably 500 litres id say ill get some pics when its not raining for you
  21. fill it up with water and when you are ready to turn it on turn the control valve to off on the out put before you turn it on to create a vacuum and then once water is flowing in turn control valve back on probably after 10 seconds should work good
  22. you could always go with angels etc loaches barbs minnows or even a planted tank with cardinals danios etc
