yea im aware of conditions but the fish was living in conditions that he wouldnt have appreciated a 3 foot tank.i know they rae adaptable so i have tested it and is working fine.its based on experience thanks though.the gourami is a little fighter he stands his ground well even though he get could swalloed up with by my africans

i just got a massive black ghost knife.thanks to jack for picking it up for me.hes in with my cichlids and is doing fine but i have alot of fish that like caves so theres abit of competition for caves etc.im wondering will either the bgk kill my cichlids or are they more likely to kill him as i can see hes abit shy during the day but maybe at night a different story?i also added a dwarf gourami what a little shit hes tough man bullying my blue zebras

usually in africans the tail sexing is far more inaccurate than head shape the males will have a much broader and pushed forward head which will be developing a hump

there head shape 4 me is easiest

theres some cichlids listed on trademe at the moment and they are really blue can any1 tell me what these are?they look like zebras but are bright blue

i just got a big ice blue zebra today and my demasoni male is harrasing him they were lip locking before but now ice blue just swims away and dem chases it what should i do??

i just got a four foot tank courtesy of jackp great guy...anyways i have set ii with all my other gear from other tank along with all my water so no need to cycle currently stocked with 1 male electric blue 1 male demasoni 1 i think common plec 1 sailfin maybe red spot plec huge sailfin 2 red jewels 1 red zebra 2 electric yellows 1 auratus 2 kandangos 4 bricardis 1 jack dempsey plants are java ferns and flag grass have round river stones and a bit off driftwood have silica mixed with chemi gravel any suggestions on other fish i can add?? and where to get in south auckland?
