haha, I'm not worried in the slightest - its helping with more ideas of what I can do with mine I never had much luck with the penny wort - does it need high light?

Brave of you to fill up the tank again just yet =P I was in there yesterday but people were looking at it so I didn't get a good look - from what was there it seems very similar to how I want to set up mine when I get it, with lots of neons or cardinals etc. Oh weel, just another excuse to go back... How long did your Co2 last? And what sort was it? Not the fluval 88g by any chance?

felt really bad in riccarton/ilam and that sort of area, reports of damage etc but not so much over out east - only a very small amount of water splashing, more of a rolling one...

Um, I guess? I cant guarantee them but they're the marbled type leaf ones, maybe missing some parts of leaves due to being thrown in with cichilds =P If you pm me we can sort something out, address etc - I just wont be able to send anything till next week is all

Hi, Does anyone know the doc that David Attenborough did on the amazon and in particular, amazon fish? I think I heard about it once but have no idea if it there actually was one. Failing that, has he done one on African rift cichilds?

How big is your tank? That seems to be quite a high flow rate to be honest. As for quality? Not a clue, although they don't look like they particularly scream quality, I'd prob opt for a smaller power head with known reliability (2nd one even) myself but it can only lose you $25 to try?

Man, thats awesome - what other plants are in there? Cant quite make them out sorry, the one on the right hand side in a loop, is that glosso growing tall? And I know how you feel, getting a little tired of having to clean up the floor all the time

Mainly dwarf chains (hoping to get the numbers up to 12-15 again) about 5 angelicus and a few golden zebras? Anything really. Also looking at some ram pairs, bristlenoses etc etc Although I'd love whatever pleco is in your profile pic too

Can you do a powerglo upgrade? I thought it didn't fit or are you meaning add two more tubes? IF so, how do you go about that?

Anything that you suggest? Would be looking at selection of colours red/green/brown but other than that no idea. Ok, what about something like zealandia micro sword? As a carpet plant that is, I'm not that keen on hairgrass (now thats horrible stuff) and the dwarf sag that I've got will be too high for a real carpet as such, might use that as a mid ground plant though What about lotus plants? Or is that more of a discus tank thing? =P

Hi, After only just realizing there's a planted section to this site, I thought I'd ask what sort of plants I could potential keep in a stock juwel vision 180, more or less just with the stock lighting, and a substrate based fertilizer. I'm lead to believe that they come with two 39W t5's. While I'd like to keep crypts really, I'd be interested to see if things like glosso or stargrass would survive/grow in these conditions? Thanks

Ah sweet - I had one barclaya too at one point but wan't sure which. Let me know if you are wanting to sell - when did the tank change from geos though? Not keeping up at all

White - so bacterial. Its gone now - noticed that one of the aftershocks last monday had ripped the air stone out and the aqua one filter had stopped, maybe thrown about too much (wasn't even trying but a quick clean and reassemble and it was going again. Its come right since I've put that back in and started the aqua one filter back up. Going to check the impeller in the fluval soon too - last time I had a quick look and it seemed ok though?

ah right - I have to admit, whenever I clean out the filter, there never seems to be much happening in there? Its more to do with getting the flow back up and running - I run ehiems on all my other tanks, no problems with those at all in terms of function.
