  1. cool will you be selling any whistling tree frogs when they turn. have been looking for some for ages but hardly and in the north island.
  2. yer done months of research while i have been saving and getting my live food right lol. was going to have the basking lamp in one of the front corners and have the heat emitter about 500mm out from the same end this is what i did yesterday (quite chuffed with myself lol) still waiting for the perspex and most of the fittings.
  3. will a 100w ceramic heat emitter still be good for a 1500x600x600. just thought i better find out before i buy them now that i have increased the size
  4. congratulation on the male that will speed up the process.
  5. yer ive seen the clip on ones at pet shops and on TM. decided to make it 1500x600x600 now. better for the dragon for the sake of $50
  6. yer same just bought the 40w. do you have reflectors on the tubes???
  7. yer perfect for what i want because im going to make a 2 enclosures build into 1 (one on top of the other)
  8. for uv was going to buy a Exo terra 2x30w light controller and have it do both enclosures.
  9. ok so you dont need the dome and a 100w would be ok. for ventilation i was going to have vents at each end and a few across the back. the enclosure will be in an uninsulated shed
  10. Do you think these would be ok for a basking lamp and general heat source for a 1200x600x600 bearded dragon enclosure made of MDF. ceramic emitter would be on a thermostat. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Business-farmi ... 583920.htm
  11. Haha very true might have to ask mum if she can find a new home for all the stuff in the rest of the garage
  12. Where could i find Plastic sliding tracks for the front sliding doors for my bearded dragon enclosure that i am going to build
  13. yer thats what i thought. its just am empty tank ive got. but there probably no point in setting it up for only a few months. was going to buy a 1200 and move my frogs to that, so that the beardy could go into the frogs 1500
  14. am looking at getting a bearded dragon. would a 750L x 400D x 550H be a ok size for a 5 month old dragon.
  15. Yer because most of the listing are turtle food and these is also heaps of livefood too
  16. just normal air humity works best for me. the hatching get stuck and drown in the smallest drop of water.
  17. yer the bigger young will eat the small young. plastic bins sound good. Crickets are quite hard to breed, im still trying to get it right so am definitely no expert lol.
  18. you need more than 1 area for young as they take about 3 months to reach adult size, if you keep them all in the same one the larger one will eat the smaller ones
  19. the other problem that i just remember is that you need to make a reflector to go on top as alot of light is wasted out the top.
  20. did you know that green and golden bell frogs are endangered in auz, so when ever a breeding colony is found that area of land becomes protected. these frogs are also becoming less and less in nz due to a fungal infection. Frog are not as easy to breed as they look (as i am finding out now). they also grow very slow. and take about 8 weeks of care while tadpole. y dont you just breed mice, any 5 year old kid could do it, all you need is a pair and they will do the rest, they also grow alot faster.
