  1. very true my beardy get ride of all the old breeding stock for me
  2. yer there are fine still newly winged so they have not even hardened up yet my frogs and bearded dragon eats them fine so an adult water dragon will be fine. thats if they are the ones you got from me.
  3. thanks I got a lot done today
  4. had a good long weekend and got all frames built and up
  5. If it stressfully for bearded dragons, mine must want to be stress lol, she when down a month ago, even though she had perfect heat, lots of food (Same conditions as summer). but i must say she looks more relaxed than stressed.
  6. just going to use 90x45 wall framing so that will give me abit of room for insulation, would have liked to build the eternal wall out of 140x45 but that would have eaten in to my wallet and the floor space to much. yep 12mm h3.2 ply on the floor and 7mm for the external cladding.
  7. yer it great to be making progress, too many months of thinking lol. good to be out of the cold shed, was not doing wonders for the power bill running 6 locusts enclosures. in winter i had to get up to 150W spots in each one. im getting all the materials cheap from discount building supplies so only going to cost $1800 for all wood, ply, insulation.
  8. So my part of the gauge is now been taken over by other stuff, so have started to build my own Reptile Room it going to be 4.3x2.3m and divided into two rooms so i can have the option to heat one or both. Its going to be insulated and have some sort of ventilation (have not decided yet probably two wall fans) it is going to be a bit of a slow process because there is only me and by the time i get back from teck i only get about 1.5 hours light a day to do something. subfloor framing and expol are finished
  9. sorry to go off topic but while we are on the topic lol, my 3 year old bearded dragon is wanting to Brumate, she spends all of her time on the floor sleeping (at the hot end???). but i now she still has food in her somewhere, but its been over 4 weeks since she passed anything, i have not feed her for 3 weeks. the basking light and UV is still on. this is my first winter with a bearded dragon. any thoughts
  10. Thats how i original did my locusts but i found the plastic melts after a few months so just took the ceramic fitting out and remounted them.
  11. Yer would be surprised if not at Bunnings. i looked at the same thing at a electrical place, but they were $10+ each
  12. i use http://www.trademe.co.nz/Building-renovation/Electrical-lighting/Lights/Other/auction-371229144.htm but you have to do your own wiring but make shore you get someone trained to check it or even better get them to do it
  13. Probably not you need a E27 screw-in lamp holder
  14. Not probably lol WILL lay eggs in the wool but i don't find it matters. if you going to breed them put them in a shed, if you value your sleep. i find if you clean them out often they don't smell to bad, but it is hard to clean them out when they are little.
  15. i didn't think lutino animals have red eyes
  16. Just finished building and planting my new outside frog enclosure the frogs are enjoying being in the sun and within a day forgot that they are friendly lol, jumping from there basking spots into the water.
  17. it really depends on how much and what you feed them, but 2 years is average.
  18. everything you need to know on the care sheet including a link to a very detailed diet http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.c ... ition.html
  19. pretty shore rainbows skinks are now on the unwanted organism list.
  20. i'm still a novice (only had one for a few months). nasturtium flowers are good she always eats them first, i feed her the leaves as well.
  21. level 4 national certificate in building. so did really need level 3 but building was a bit slow so decided it wouldn't hurt
