    I buy majority of my supplements from http://www.bodybuilding.com

    Protein powders are a little cheaper but the lighter more expensive stuff is ridiculously cheap compared to here.

    First stuff I bought in NZ I spent $130ish for 6 weeks. And it was a very basic stack. Now I spend more like $40 a month and get WAY more out of it.

    Also looked at getting pleco food online. $100 for 1kg of hikari algae wafers... Hmmmmm

    My breeding pair of L066 live in a 100L. For decorations they have a small piece of wood and 2 bamboo caves.

    They seem to get along ok :sml2:

    They are brilliant fish. I personally would get a variety of pleco unless you plan on breeding long term.

    If someone could give me / sell me some of this , i would apreciate it. If anyone can tell me a good cycle of how to water change and what chemicals to put in would be awsum also.

    I live in howick/botany/pakuranga and I'd be happy to trade some of your filter media for mine. I have plenty of fully cycled filters going on my tanks. I would also be happy to answer any questions.

    You need the ammonia to be produced and converted to nitrite and then to nitrate by the bacteria. Getting established filter media will provide the bacteria but they will all die off if you take the food source off them by using ammolock.. Chuck the ammolock and get some established filter media.
    Ammonium is still consumed by your bacteria, allowing the cycle to keep going. Ammolock works a treat.

    can they live by themselves or in a community or only solely in pairs ?

    One is doable not the best. Two if they are a confirmed pair. Three or more is best.

    They have a pecking order. They will fight until they have formed a hierarchy. If you only have two, the sub-dominant one will get picked on too much and probably die.

    Thats my understanding of it. Somebody else will probably be able to give a more experienced opinion.

  16. Red Eyed L140

    Hey guys.

    Has anybody else noticed red eyes on their L140 fry? Some of the more recent spawns seem to have red eyes. Not sure if I didn't notice it the first time round and the larger ones grew out of it or not.
