  2. lol i used to just use a spray bottle when i was little lol. Tip though, don't put maggots in an aquarium to hatch when it is at the head of your bed lol. they might be able to get out in the middle of the night
  3. lucky you. i let some of my apple snails eggs hatch and have spend the better part of three months trying to get them big to sell
  4. yea i've seen them as decorations on indoor water features. it's almost like smoke not hot or any thing. and you probably wouldn't have it on all the time

  6. yea with a wee modification lol. i suppose our frogs aren't as tropical as poison arrow frogs. their awesome though.
  7. i had a small fern and palm like tree in mine with grasses and moss i got from the bush. i kind of left it in the inclosure for a week or so before adding the frogs, tadpols and they seemed to love it :bounce: . i've also seen a neet thing on like of foggers in them to help keep it warm and moist. if i ever have frogs again i would look into a 2nd hand one, also looks cool :lol:
  8. you can pop apple snails, i've found most small tetras, bumble bee gobies, bristle noses, cories.... ones that will occupie a different space in the tank or are gentle and don't cause hassle, i've even had rams with mine.

  12. if we get technical the semi aquatic turtles like red eared slider and such are actually teripins, a turtle lives pretti much all the time in thw water exept for laying eggs i think. and then A Tortoise is land dwelling, i don't know of any that live in water or if they can even swim. theres a question for the forums
  13. normally i think this one must go after small insects or something. it could always be an omnivore just not called that.

  15. yea i know just out at the moe. how many you get from animates? and the stuff you get know is dead ae? i kinda want to try my hand at live ones lol the girlfriend is excited about sea monkies lol

  22. i know the duck weed does but i find the moss and fern do more rapidly with co2 and propper lighting. had them in my large tank and just growing extra for a planted in the future. well the moss is for that any way.
  23. any easy way to tell which conditions which plants perfer? Ie colours, shapes, type, Way of reproduction? Atm i just have java moss some small java fern babies and duck weed.
  24. well the fish wont be in there for long and then it will just be plants. won't need an air stone then ea?

Hey guys just wondering how much sugar/yeast to put in a diy co2 for a 30-40L tank? i've got a bottol im my large aquarium but thought if i use the same amount in my small one it will be too much. It's pretti much just a tank to grow plants and java moss in but i have a few sick neon tetras i'm currently treating in one half. Any advice?
