  1. It's both people's problems because one has hurt another, but the responsibility is shifted back to the owner of the dog if the complainant or the victim takes some kind of action, instead of what a lot of people think is the right thing to do, which is just complain.
  2. This is really cool. Makes me want to be able to jump! People are awesome 2013
  3. Why is it wrong not to take simple steps to avoid problems, if those steps are possible? If a dog gets into your rubbish would you not just hang the bag from a tree or put the bag in a bin? Those are the sort of things he's talking about. Perhaps gardens in Invercargill are much bigger than up here, we have netting on our garden to stop birds and cats, our garden looks like an obstacle course with veges sticking out.
  4. Auckland Zoo's baby red panda made it onto Zoo Borns. :bounce: movie of angry baby disturbed by keepers
  5. you can do that, if it comes on your property you can do what you want as long as it's within the law Actually I will admit to having 'water trained' my cat before. As long as the cat doesn't see it coming from you they just associate the water with the thing they do that's bad so they eventually stop doing whatever it is. It's in the SPCA how to train your cat guide too. In Alan's case he probably wants the cat to associate him with bad things happening though :slfg:
  6. because it's your back garden the problem has come to you :dunno:
  7. Go ahead, make my day ....
  8. It would have been more accurate if they hadn't said that the cat kills for fun. They kill because it is instinct, they don't have 'fun' like humans do.

  11. indeed, except I think they would be quite high maintenance to keep clean and bug free with all those spines.
  12. that's what I am like when I'm in the sea :rolfl: unless I'm snorkelling and I can see everything Ever seen a tame hedgehog? this is so cute! http://instagram.com/darcytheflyinghedgehog why doesn't the picture link appear when you right click on the images?
  13. I only saw one of mine do that, I wasn't around enough to see it plus I think they must have gotten eaten because the only fry that came out were when I took the adults out. these were gold minnows though, not the normal ones
  14. agreed but when does that happen? money in does not become money out to solve the problem in the eyes of the government
  15. Regulation doesn't really do anything but line the pockets of those who make the regulations. Doesn't stop the people who don't control their animals. I'd like to be able to have access to cat traps and have somewhere to take a cat that was misbehaving, whether it was my cat or not. I knew a domestic cat that had behaviour problems and really should have been put down because the only behaviour it displayed was fierce territorial aggression when it was outside it's house. I can't remember if it'd been neutered or not but there was no way for it to be dealt with other than seriously upsetting neighbours who could take action back, or taking matters into our own hands.
