  1. no brain freeze for Antwan, he only had a TEASPOON of ice cream hahaha sure Antwan, that's why you needed a whole bowl... 8) they are so undies
  2. I like the 2 tanks together with the one light and they are great little fish.
  3. a very complicated picture... given the size of the bowls was the ice cream eaten in one hit? Was the body in such shock at such a luxurious helping of lard that he came out in a hot sweat and had to take his socks off? All this while cleaning out his ears with the cotton buds and pulling the plant out of the water. I couldn't speculate on the undies in the corner

    Scheeli fry log

I am convinced now that it's just one main fry - seen him quite regularly over the last few days. Is getting quite brave, meandering along the front middle of the tank glass, pottering along on the bottom eating stuff. Is nice to see him out and about. He has been eyed by the big male and found to be not worth eating as a meal and left alone again. The eggs that I saw on the bottom of the wood scrap have either hatched or been eaten as they are now gone. Found another egg on the bottom of the driftwood when I took it out to add a plant, and another egg in the cabomba I pulled out, so I dropped that into the middle of the new christmas moss.
  13. here is another thread with same plant but longer, these also have dying off bits. I think it's just natural. After all the leaves can't live forever viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47765
  14. My sagittaria also looked like that from time to time, I just cut those leaves off when they were obviously dying. I didn't have JBL balls either. Also those leaves dying off didn't stop it spreading or getting longer so as Adrienne says it might just be getting itself started.
  15. There are embers at Mt Roskill, very pretty little guys. Of course you could only fit 3 or 4 in your nano tank
  16. I too am afraid to use excel in my tank with twisted val but I think it is supposed to be OK in the standard dose on the bottle. Though it does say you should dose daily. :-? I presume you have the sagittaria with the sword shaped leaves, not the spoon shaped? The latter means it's not been grown under water so they do die off and then regrow as swords. My tank is mostly new plants of various kinds and some of them appear to not have enjoyed moving to their new surroundings that much and are doing a bit of die-back. I am presuming they will sort themselves out within a month and be happy again. And hoping this is the case
  17. since when a tank a metre long been tiny Adrienne
  18. I had dwarf sag in a 60cm and some leaves grew to about 25cm tall, so if that happened in your tank it would be a good intermediate length to go with your other plant 8) . I don't think there is anything missing on the left side. Cories would love it in there with the sand, they would snuffle about and wink at you - peppered cories are cheapish and their colours would stand out against the sand. They also like lower light.
  19. I did that to stop me getting covered in floating plant I tried it on a vertical stick but you don't get a good enough angle on the razor
