    Eggs

Wild horses (or chickens) couldn't stop me having my boiled egg for breakfast every morning. Are you allergic, a political activist or you just don't like them?
  5. You answered my next question .... I would be interested to know how quickly they attach. Tank looks nice anyway. Looks like you have someone watching over it keeping an eye on the algae
  6. Sam, have you jammed the fern roots between the rocks or are they anchored another way?
  7. seems that 6 of the fish are males, 4 females. The rest too little to get tail colours just yet. One fish jumped out at feeding time, took me longer than a few seconds to get him back in the tank but he recovered quickly enough. I wonder if it was the same fish that jumped out when in the bugs tank earlier. So yes, if you get killies and there are lots the same age, and feed them live food, be careful at feeding time, they are very excitable.

  10. Unfortunately it's not very often, next one is May 22. Next time I will put more money aside in preparation for buying trinkets!
  11. Been there done that, used to live a short walk away so went there every few weeks. Nice Pork buns too.
  12. Have just got back, it's one of the nicest markets I have been to. Lots of baked goods, interesting craft stalls, home grown veges, cushions, block prints on fabric and paper (cheap). Inside the hall are quite a few jewellery stalls with crystals, handmade ceramic beads handmade sewn with buttons and great colours, resin pendants -3 tables. Some are very affordable, $10 a pair of earrings, $35 for a pendant necklace, up to over $100 for the handmade glass. I took $25, spent most of that on food, went away to get some money for a pendant. It's open till 2pm and the next market is not till May. It's in Erson Ave which is off Mt Albert Rd, opposite the Mall entrance to Pak n Save. And no I have no affiliations with the place, it was just a most pleasant surprise, after some markets I feel harassed and desperate to get away. :bounce:
  13. I went to Aquavillage, and though there was nothing for me there at the time, it was nice to visit another kind of shop. They have a lot of cichlids in proportion to their other tropical fish, and they had some pairs with fry which was nice to see. There were electric yellows and demasoni, neither of which I know anything about but they looked nice. They had black ghost knife fish, don't think I had seen those before, they were wriggling about doing tricks. Lots of fluffy headed goldfish too. The prices for food etc looked normal and they had some Co2 equipment. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the tanks were too high for me to see into, though I am a bit of a pygmy. It's small but I'd recommend a visit if you are passing. Turn right off Onehunga Mall into Neilson St, and it's a little way down on the left in between a fishing shop and a 'foxy lingerie' store'. All the best types of shop in one block!
