Jansens used to stock them. Then they turned into Animates -
I heard that shock freezing is a better alternative to freezing. The fish is dropped in ice cold water so the change from tropical to almost frozen puts the fish into a state of shock. Usually this kills the fish but I always freeze them afterwards just to be sure.

And to put deformed/suffering fish out of their misery, it's not as cruel as it seems usually. Without it many of today's man made strains of fish wouldn't be here and there'd be a lot more deformed fish!

Hello all, I'm needing some glass to be picked up in West Auckland but it's a long drive from my place to the glass company. Is there anyone who will be making this trip or makes it often? Even from West Auckland to a little closer to me would be great. Can pay for petrol if needed (with cash, fish or plants). Thanks!

What's his temperament like? Is he peaceful or really agro? Some fighters can never be housed with other fish simply because they will kill them. Others get along fine with other fish. What size is his tank?

It can be done BUT you will need to be very strict about water changes and/or have it very heavily planted

And why these fish in particular? Kuhili loaches need to be in groups of at least 4 and guppies will reproduce in no time. I'd say either 4 male guppies OR 6 neons. Better yet get a Siamese fighter, he'd be very happy in a tank this size Is it going to be a planted tank?
