  1. If there's movement in it, it serves no purpose as bracing.
  2. Most tank makers don't test their tanks before giving them to their customers. Next time you go back to the shop, take the tank with you, unload it and point out all the flaws in it. Then leave it at their shop, it's no use to you. Definitely look at getting your money back unless they know how to construct aquariums.
  3. That's an unsightly and unsafe finish, no way would I be putting water in that. Definitely get your money back unless they can actually make tanks.
  4. I was planning on giving the above method a go if I ever came across a berried female. My only query is whether they release eggs that get carried back to sea or if they release the eggs at sea.
  5. If anyone is interested in a larger image of the above aquarium: http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2004/show141.html
  6. Are threads like this allowed on the forums? I would love to be able to post images (perhaps with the username blurred out) and quotes from their auctions for a bit of a laugh. After informing them of the correct way to do things of course.
  7. They won't be happy about it, you just have to stay calm and firm on what you want. It sounds like you both made mistakes so point out all of the errors that were made, perhaps have them written or drawn if it's hard to explain. You may have to agree on a price to have the tank fixed or replaced if you also made mistakes. If it was purely their error, tell them they should have asked if they were unsure and to replace the aquarium. Knowing your rights helps too. Best of luck!
  8. Just bought some hi fin WCMM off TradeMe, hopefully picking them up this weekend

A lil rough around the edges but not a bad chop While I appreciate and consider all input, I feel as though the changes are a bit flat, having something such as the outlying rock draws attention to the tank and I think that in time, it will work
  10. You make me laugh dude :sml1: Mum's favourite colour is blue, maybe some cobalts?
  11. Nice, looks like you've got some solid growth going on there 8)
  12. She likes anything pretty, large and expensive really :nilly:
  13. I don't think so, why? :dunno: Any other ideas? Something a bit oddball even?
  14. Nope, it's a George Farmer. But I think he's posting them to show people what he can do
  15. Yeah it's already planted but in dire need of a rescape and clean, it gets a bit neglected  How long do they take to mature?
  16. I think the 2nd and 7th photo are his own works, indeed they are a rock collection but other than that, break all the other rules of iwagumi.
  17. Ooo really? I've only got a 1000lph canister on it at the moment, will I need another? Can't be too slack with water changes with these guys either aye?
  18. Indeed I have, had a good chuckle actually
  19. Tell me about it, I've been spending around 6-8hrs next to this tank for the last week and it's like watching grass grow :nilly:
  20. That's the plan after I get the grass cranking, once it's all grown in cutting selective areas back will refine the scape
  21. I was thinking discus, is it big enough for them? It's in the lounge so it's more for Mum than anything, she liked the angels but they ripped each other to shreds and caused so much chaos :nilly:
