Good idea spoon!
Who is keen on Red Cherry Shrimp? If there's only three of us then that's hardly a profitable market, we need to motivate importers to send them our way.
-
Are you having any hardscape in there? (Rocks, wood, etc)
-
Looks like it might have swallowed a chicken and the leg is poking out its side but still under it's skin.
-
Suphew, could I have some clarification here please. So I'm cycling my 3 foot freshwater tank and it's onto the Nitrite stage, they're off the charts. Should I do a big water change now?
Thanks
-
That'll be $100, plus the importing fee, paper work, shrimp care, etc.
All I need is a pair, then it'd be all go from there.
-
Nice dimensions, should turn out to be a good one.
Can you move that thermometer? If so, it'd do wonders for the tank if it was around the side.
Otherwise, can't wait to see it planted!
-
As will I when I get my tank made. Too big for platies mouths? Would love to breed in my new tank and move the adults to the 3 footer. *dreams*
-
Gimmie a handful of Cherry Shrimp and Java Moss and I'll be happy. I heard that they're quite prolific breeders, the hard part will be getting them over here alive. I'm more than happy to set up a dedicated tank just for them if need be.

Me too!
Oh wait... I firsted them!
Would TPT forums be any good for asking?
-
Animates, in the filter section. $1.95 for a 150g bag, that's all it took to give a 10mm layer in this tank.
-
So ask on an international forum perhaps Simian? What about AquaBid?
Would be more keen on red cherrys but Amanos are awesome too.
-
I don't imagine you'd need to take fish out but it'd be cleaner and easier. Im guessing they're glass dividers siliconed in?
If so, use a sharp razor blade to cut off the silicone and gently pull the glass out. Tidy up after if needed.

This time I'll be using an 80x25cm tank filled with about 10cm of water. Should be big enough, right? "Little" homemade sponge filter in the corner and heaps of duckweed and riccia floating. If the fry make it to free swimming I can fill the tank up to 40cm max giving me an 80L rearing tank. Sound okay?
The red male still has some spots on him but they seem less frequent than they did before, other male still has some too. Female isn't showing any signs of spots. All are well, feed a couple of Freeze Dried bloodworms with morning.

ADodge! You're supposed to be on holiday!
But yeah, she's right. Fighters can and will be picky at first, most fish don't each much when they're new anyways, but they'll soon get over it.
-
Haha! Apart from the tube in the middle of the tank, all looks sweet as. The Java Fern really sets it apart from other lake tanks.
-
I meant the one near the top left corner, not a light tube. (Hosing lol) Can't get any firther back, like a shot relative to it's surroundings?
-
Full tank shot please?
Looking good. Where can I buy one of those big blue tubes from? What other fish can they be kept with? What is their minimum tank size?
-
That was brilliant LA! Truly excellent!
-
It's just the three of them in there. Hoping this will all be over soon. Not usre how old they are but would be keen to get a spawn going, my last one failed massively.
-
Haha, thanks P44.
Adjusted heater from 26 to 27, the thermometer read 25, now reading at 26.
-
I think they're doing their best, and it's good news that we can keep it. But it would be nice to have a straight answer from the start.
-
Over a period of time?
-
Im glad I treated quickly, the other male now has two spots on his fins. Female still shows nothing. Should I up the temperature, is so, what to?
Thanks

I wouldn't risk it but it all depends ont he personality of the fighter. I'd play it safe and just choose the fighter or the gouramis.
