Congrats! I've tried spawning my fighters a couple of times but the males are too distracted by the females to build a bubble nest :roll:

So in theory, these could actually help save money on power bills? Running a hot bulb ontop and a ballast underneath could heat the aquarium along with a heater?

Are you sure I won't need a fan, they do run pretty hot.

The only place I've ever seen MHs is at SOG, where can I get coral suitable bulbs from? Cheap? And I'm having trouble locating what I need to run a fan, can someone give me a link to the product?

But are 400w bulbs easy to come by? The setups at SOG are under $200.00 but the bulbs are all wrong, yes?

Suphew- The only thing I'm assuming at this stage is that I'll need two fans, an intake fan bringing cold air into the hood and an outlet fan drawing air out of the hood at opposite ends, yes? Should they be equal speed to each other? HaNs-Could I get a pricing? Are you fimilar with marine coral requirements? I may have a few Q's about them

If I wanted to make a sump for this tank, would this work? The idea is to have the sucking end of powerhead attached to a tube inside the aquarium. Then having the powerhead in the sump. The outlet tube would be connected to the blowing/pushing end of the powerhead. If there are no holes in the pipe, it should just draw water from one end, and put it out the other. But if there were holes in the in and out tubes inside the sump, would the water be expelled and drawn inside the sump? Just throwing some ideas around, Thanks.

I have a 2ft cube as of today. Being 60cm high it's made out of (what looks like) 10mm glass with euro bracing. Go with the 10mm, and a bigger surface area/footprint if possible.

My cat doesn't even care about Suds anymore. She used to gaze at him all day but even when his cage is only a leap away, she can't be bothered. Very nice birds firefish!

I got all the bracing off! It looks super neat! TY guys. Now I went to move the Rams and Ottos back in (they won't jump out, right?) but felt the water thanfully and it was 10 degrees! Heater plug wasn't quite pushed in and it hadn't been running :evil: It's heating up now though, hoping to get them in by this evening. On top of that, the female fighter I had tried to spawn kept burrying herself under the pebbles and drowning herself and one of the Ottos in the net breeder got his mouth caught on the net. I had to hold him and cut the net around him, I hope he's gunna be okay :-? (I typed with my stumps I used to call fingers) :lol:

You guys have created a de-rimming monster! Sort of... I got one brace off last night and got the whole way through the other side but not the font or back.
