  1. Do we get things like these for mounting lights in NZL? (Fifth post down) I think they're called Conduits?
  2. Keep up the water changes, that should keep the water chemistry within the safe zone.
  3. Wow. You're taking this very seriosuly... Maybe you could have an auction yard and sell the 5 extra bulls there? Or a slaughter house? Break out the scissors and red paint
  4. You mean she put you in a mirrored room with Rusty and covered you in his favourite food?
  5. It'd be great if my new cube was, I'm going to get it off my Auntie 'Zet next week
  6. Nah, it's too warm here, plus I don't have any suitable running shoes. Wouldn't want to sprain my ankle now. Guess I'll just stay and fight.
  7. No... Should I be quickly shutting down my computer anytime soon?
  8. So if this tank breaks and puts 54L of water on my bedroom floor, you'll personally come to my house, clean it up, replace the tank and replant it just the way I like it?
  9. Two LOL emoticons! Geez you must be going crazy...
  10. There are no rooms IN the tank but there is a tank IN the room, only one tank.
  11. Not a speck of dirt, you do realise thats not a photo aye P44? My rooms not too bad though, just stuff on the floor.
  12. I don't need permission, it's in my room! Maybe I should ask, but I still have my doubts about going rimless, I really need to find Goldfishman's Email....
  13. Most filters I've seen and heard about do it like this (in order of water hitting the media to water leaving the filter): 1. Coarse sponge 2. Finer sponge and/or filter wool 3. Biological media (ceramic rings, gravel, porous rock, etc) 4. Additives (carbon, peat, coral, etc) Sponges don't differ much in quality but the pet store stuff is guarunteed to be safe. Filter wool is the same but the stuff from Spotlight is good as long as there are no additives, fire retardants, mould inhibitors, etc. For bio media I've only used the aquaone ceramic noodles and they've been great. Additives you only need for temporary treatment or when special fish are kept. HTH
  14. I can't find any T5 fittings let alone the bulbs! And MH is out of the question for this tank. The 4 T8's I have on it ATM are doing fine.
  15. Men don't have paws Zev! IDK about "hacking" it off, might have to go nice and carefully with a razor blade. And if it breaks, who's going to lose out? Me! Which fish don't and won't jump? Rams are fine, right? BTW, that 1st tank looks super sweet.
  16. And just in case I do this, what's the best way to make, hang and buy the stuff for the lighting. I've already got the tubes, holders and ballast, but I'd like to make a decent hood. What do I need to hang it? Thanks
  17. I saw a vid on YouTube where some american college drunken idiot drinks a Betta straight from its cup. Now Bettas don't belong in cups but there's no chance of survival in the stomach, right?
  18. Or sand! You're far to narrow minded P44, it's either your way or no way at all! But yeah, it looks great, far more natural and I bet the fish will love it too.
  19. But has anyone cut off the end bracing? Ooo! Too many ideas, don't want to muck up the tank or anything though.
  20. You wouldn't say that if it was a native fish, would you Stella?
  21. Yeah, those are some nice tanks. But I think they are made to be open.

    3 foot tank

Oh no you didn't! Look what I did to Barrack: Do you want to suffer the same fate?
