Yeah, it's hard but not impossible. You just need to be smarter than the fish. Fighters have up turned mouths for surface feeding, so they will always be looking there first for food. So sprinkle so floating food in one corner, out for said fish to dash over then feed the other fish sinking food (flakes crushed under the water). Worked for me, then they died

With fighters, over feeding = I've cut their feedings down to 1 a day but my CT is still super fat :-?

Pretty much. Anything that is gentle/can be turned down and won't suck in/kill/grind into a paste/mincify/destroy/harm the fry is good

I just have a regular pump with an old filter sponge over the intake grill. Works brilliantly but blows everything across the tank. You may need an air powered one for Bettas

Feed em up, keep the tank big, plenty of Driftwood and you're set. Just don't tell them you want them to breed, they prefer to do it in the most inconvinient of times :-? :lol:

Yeah, they go for around $10-$20 at various pet stores around here. I'll offer them on here first but then hit TradeMe if they don't all sell here. Gotta get them to survive first though. :-? Might grow some up in the 2ft cube though and try and get some more pairs from there. Can they breed in 1M/2F trios?

I doubt they'll sell for more than $1.00 each If they're so good at hiding, why can I see lots of them?

So would a rotating chopstick but I CBB right now. 8) Nope, no updates yet. All that's happened is the BN's bred, there's now a floating breeding net, the glosso is rooted and spreading, the hairgrass is failing and the Rotala has just about reached the surface. What a mess :roll: Where would I put them? They'd eat my baby BN's

Not sure what kind, don't think it's hair algae. I want to do a blackout on my 54L, the hair algae in the hairgrass is horrible but I want the stems to grow heaps for Twinkles

Is there a formula for working out the flow rate of the 20mm pipes? I'm looking at pumps, 600LPH is too small right?

Only BNs, I removed the platies when I saw the eggs. Noob fish I know but I can't afford or keep anything better alive. This algae looks like a bright green ball of thread has been dropped just below the surface, not natural. :-?

I have a stringy clump of algae, they won't touch it :-? You can borrow them if you collect them and return them P44. tha catch is you have to come up to Aux. :lol:

I shake up all my bottles, it'll leak before it explodes because: 1. The gas escapes out the end of an unblocked airline tube 2. The hot glue around the top leaks CO2, especially if the airline tube is blocked (It would be cool if it did blow though)

I think it's 2 cups white sugar, 1 tsp yeast and the rest of a 1.25L homebrand soda bottle filled up. You going to try it?
