Rimless is without a rim or bracing. Maybe not a good idea to remove it if it's on a 3 foot tank. Ask a glass expert like Barrie.
T5 tubes, haven't been able to source any cheaply. Try Animates and Hollywood Fish Farm.
That's extremely different to Natural style.
I'm getting okay growth from my glosso using only two T8 30w tube (AL-30D unit) and the Rotala rotundafolia is going nuts. Harigrass is also doing okay.

He has no need for a mate, many of them don't get along with other fish let alone a fish of their own species. It usually ends in tears both in the fishes fins and in the keepers eyes.
The thread says nothing of removing it "D". I just thought the pictures of it being removed sum it up pretty well though. I didn't just get it out then put it back for the sake of photographs
You mean SeaChem's Onyx Sand?
It'd be a waste to use that in a non-planted aquarium seeing as it's one of the premium nutrient substrates on the market.
I reckon Malawis look good against a lighter colour substrate but otherwise just ring around.
