  1. I probally didn't treat right the first time. I think I left it to long between the two treatments. I feed them grindal worms once per day and stop feeding daphnia in case they get worms from there? because I get it straght from a water trough.
  2. One of them now has little red worms hanging out it's anus. Will another treatment of levamisole get rid of red worms or is there something else to treat it with?
  3. These fill my pool this time each year. I am not sure what they are.
  4. They eat well and have been putting on a bit of weight. I only dosed last night because I saw what looked like worms in it's poo. But other than that they seem healthy.
  5. I wormed them with aviverm, after seeing what looked like little white worms hanging out its anus. Just wondering is there something else I should worm with also?

    Skinny ram

I got two electric blue rams on Thursday and one is a bit skinny, it doesn't seem to be getting any bigger. I am worried it has worms but it is not showing any other sighn of worms. It eats fine though. Should I treat the tank with aviverm or something? or what foods can make it gain a bit more weight?
  7. SAE worked to get rid of mine and I had heaps of the stuff.
  8. Um not really anonymous though is it as the other persons tank is able to be seen here (sorry link removed as it may have influenced a current competition, livingart please no one post another one)
  9. I think that if another competition whent ahead then maybe the same thing should not be allowed. I am sure it wasn't his intention to try and force people to vote for his tank. I followed the link and voted for the other tank. I my self feel there was nothing wrong with it. The link was removed when he was made aware that people thought it was un fair.
  10. I am also on my 3rd pump. The heaters are rubbish. On real cold days it only heats the tank to 22. The lights are allright but interfer with the tv. I would never buy one again.
  11. Put the temp up to speed the life cycle of it, lots of water changes, and get some white spot cure and salt.
  12. Are you trying to hatch them in containers? because with cory eggs I find it better to have a small amount of eggs per container.
  13. Our rain water is about 6.5 out a concrete tank.
  14. I have around 30 that colour in the pic and they are all the same size. I can't find any adult whistlers around but I can hear them at night.
  15. How hard are the albino ones to come across? I never seen one before.
  16. I have a fairly large pond that are full of bell frogs of some sort and then I get a pool full of tadpoles this time of year. Then the bell frogs seem to come up for a snack I think as I have never seen any big tadpoles like I do in the pond. There are lots of whistlers that still survive though.
  17. Yeah I couldn't catch any of the bell frogs though I will try and catch one and post a pic tomorrow.
  18. I will try and catch one and post a pic tomorrow they look like golden bells and are bright green. Do southern bells go bright green at all?
  19. I think I have golden bells around my pond but am unsure as the nz frog site says they are only found north of gisborne.
  20. How big are the jewels? kribs seem to go nuts when protecting their fry.
  21. I actualy find the service at Palmerston North Animates very good. I buy from animates and never got any diseases from their stock.
  22. Thanks theres still 7 left to hatch. Its very hard not to suck them up though. How long is there between breedings?
  23. I put a small stone in the airline so that the in take is to small for the fish to fit up. There are atleast 60 that I have counted witha few more still hatching.
