blueether no but its on the last had to sort the car out which was more imporantat at the time Will get it asap. so obviously when the readings are clear?? Ive had to wash out the main filter a few times as it got clogged i did what you or other person said and just cleaned it a bit in tank water.

How much longer do i keep doing the changes

I totally agree my friend in chch was telling me how all my stuff would break omg you poor people down there. Will replace the stand later

Had a friend look at it that knows about metal etc said it should be fine.. but i will replace it with a cupboard later its the comptuer room so not a lot of foot traffic Fish are doing great :nfs:

Thanks squirt.. well the tank has been on there for 14 yrs and half of that time it was full up.. other half was with turtle. And when the trutle was in there it was loaded with rocks the welding looks ok.. OH well if it goes boom i will run.. but the mess omg.. Any ideas where i can get something nice and reasonable price to put it on???? Mind you look at these new ones made out of cheap MDF wood etc..

Could do that but it goes on an angle upwards.. and i wouldnt wanna put screws into the metal that would weeaken it SHould be ok if the other tank has been on there that long aye

http://www.flickr.com/photos/78235412@N02/7207809836/ I cant for the life of me remember how to post the links so here goes Does this stand look safe enough for a 3 foot tank It originally had a 3 foot tank on it years ago but it was thinner then it was replaced with a 3 foot tank this size then that tank wore out as it was the turtles. and I got this one off the guy off here who makes them SO stand has had tank on it for 14 yrs i can remember and was second hand then its been painted a few times and there appears to be no rust only thing is it wobbles every so slightly when you walk past the floor (floor is old 30s house) I would die if it went boom.. lol. but i reckon it would be ok or would you replace it with an office cabinet

I already have some orders and use to make money last time selling them few hundred a month selling 20 fry for 20 dollars Im only doin it to cover the costs of running the tanks and also food for my other pets and stuff the tanks needs like lights etc..

OH got ya !!!!! Amazing what you can find when your having a good clean Everyone is like :dunno: when they see my fish but i try to explain too them that it only takes 20 mintues if that once a week to clean them Can't wait until I get my external filter

HUH you mean the parts where you find lots of muck????? whats that got to do with how many times i got to clean it???

:thup: Fish are happy as being doing daily water changes about 3 buckets is that enough??? And how long do I have to keep doing this for I think guppies are more hardy than other fish.. And i will wait until the filters are not flowing the best before I wash them out

alanmin4304 Thanks thats what I will do.. There is a trio 2 girls and one boy... BUT they were with other fish so will have to see. Are the albinos worth more to sell??? What about the TANK PH one is about 6 and the big one is 7 so there is quiet a difference

OK peoples.. got the guppy bug... I have my 3 foot tank set up for breeding as you guys know in the lounge my tank is 90 litre (i think aqua one on stand) thats for my own pleasure I have 3 albino guppies 2 girls and a boy.. the man gave me who i got the others off.. Should i put them in there ?? seperately from the others will they eventually just have albino fry???? as they have been in with other guppies IDEAS PLZ... In tank is one big remaning platy, and 8 platy fry.. Want to keep numbers down as I would like albino guppys in there, white cat fish and some neons Otherwise I can just leave the guppys in the one tank thanks for all your help I have learnt lots

Thanks guys all this info is great The Ehiem filter has wool in it which is dirty as in a week And the small aqua one filter has a sponge they are in there until I get the external I have seen an aqua one external filter for 140 new on trademe pumps 900 litres an hour that should be ok for my 3 foot tank aye/ BUT new light is next on the list hehe 36 bucks for a new bulb for a 2 foot light of 56 for the light and tube on trademe i get that.. sell the other bits

Sure is very addictive Ive kept fish since I was kid. And i have 60 ish guppies in my 3 foot tank the man i got them off has 100s and he dont even have a filter how amazing is that.. Im getting an external when i can afford it... and some nice backing and new light I sell my fry when I have lots

Thanks no wonder i use to loose all my fish I use to wash it under the tap !!!! I only have wool in my Ehiem filter as the sponge is had it

Thanks ill do that i dont want to take the ramp off as its joined to the main silicon on the sides that shelf is really good for tiping the water in I could gravel it and put a few plants.. Guppys seem happy changed water today again aint touched the filter thou

wow tank sounds fab with all those fish in it I use to have those kissing fish they do get big but not really big.. Have you though of a few girl guppies for the boys?? but you will prob need 20 girls with that amount and they do breed. are they chasing the other fish tryin to mate ???
