You know it's people like YOU that makes me wonder why I even bother trying to help - I think from now on I'll just keep my opions to myself. you know - I wouldn't be worried about the nest - I'd be more worried about your fish DYING from a AMMONIA SPIKE!!!!!!!! -

Hi, thats not good at all - the filter should not be turned off, by doing that your killing off all the good bacteria. Maybe you need to try and slow the in flow down - I usually do it by extending the inflow pipe or have the flow hitting the wall first. Someone here hopefully will be able to suggest more ways too. -

Thats great to hear he is eating alittle and moving more - that must be a good sign. I think you're doing a wonderful job and I have all my fingers and toes crossed that the little guy will pull through -

Hmm do you think that will work - may have to try it in my turtles filter. But is too much calcium bad though?

I have just been to the Warehouse Stationary and they have a sale going on school things, wow i got a 12 pack of ballpoint pens for only $1.99 BARGIN!! You should check them out.

Don't know if this will help - but you can get turtle calcium shells that gradually disolve in the water at my LFS they are $1 each. I think also danilion has calcuim in it try that the snail may also like to eat it.

i was kindly given some awhile back and put it in my pond but it only lasted in there not even a week the fish ate it all - It frustrating when everyone complains it being a pest in there tanks - and i can't get it to grow in my pond :evil: I was hoping for it to shade the water I don't think you'll have a problem with it, the fish will keep it under control

Don't shoot me for this - But I don't see the point in joining a club that I can't go to, seems the closest is the kapati one but thats like an hour or so away (petrol prices makes that very unaffordable). Whats the advantages of joining a club? what do you do at these clubs? sorry for all the Q's -just want to know what I'm getting myself into

Hmm yea abit like when i brought the "snowball pleco" when the till docket said it was a "peppermint" silly really - would be good if that shop marked the tanks properly with the correct fish in each tank

Hiya, they should be fine - I have mine in with discus, platies, neons etc .. they are very peaceful fish.

Hi sorry so hear your discus is not well. If the ammonia is reading that high I would immeditly do a big water change at least 50% and daily water changes till levels are reading at 0 again.

Hi, should be fine - just give them a good hose down. I remember reading on here not so long ago about dropping afew drops of vinegar (I think it was vinegar) if it fizzes then don't use it. Someone may be able to clarify if thats correct.

I was told once that with the undergravel filter - if you had a power cut or air pump stopped working then the toxins rised - is this true or just a myth? Caryl i'm intrigued ... 2 days for what (may I ask)
