  5. Right, this is the 3rd lot of fry, and they seem to be growing, and have learnt not to swim next to the filter intake pipe. They are now swimming around the top of the tank instead of hanging around the bottom. Lets hope I get some that survive.

  8. Yeah, would of been 3 in a row, I couldn't believe it myself either
  9. To imagine, this could of been 3 in a row for me. would of been a record.
  10. contact redwood aquatic, they have imported quite a few. they even got the chocolate australe, which I had the last ones.
  11. what Caryl Said What needs to be done is that you take note of the date you see the fish free swimming. after 30 days, you get another Federation to sight the fish and fill in the breeding form. you then have 30 days to get the forms to me to be eligible, If I get the forms after 60 days from the fish hatching, then the entry is inelligible to be entered into the competition, but you do still get a certificate. It is always a good idea to let me know that you have managed to grow the fish for 30 days, then I can make sure that your entry is eligible, even if the form arrives after 60 days. I know how busy some breeding coordinators can be.
  12. It was actually a SHE she must of had cravings.and PMS
  13. Just letting you know that I have brought the breeding data up to date in the members area. Keep them breedings coming through. ensure you let me know when you see fry swimming around, If I get the certificates later than 60days after the fish have hatched, then your breedings become inelligible for the breeding competition Paul Breeding Coordinator
  14. Not a problem, I thought it would be difficult to send it to the club breeding coordinator to give to you. would of been a waste of time to send it to either the NZKA President, vice pres or treasurer, as they have not communicated with anyone anyway.
  15. The problem with Air New Zealand, is if you tell them you have fish, they will have a fit. The only people you need to worry about is the security guys. I have always taken the fish out of my carry on bag and asked politely to the security that they do not put the fish through the xray machine. They have all said ok, and there is always one that asks, what fish are they and how easy to look after.
  16. To all those that have not yet received your breeding certificates, you will get them at your next meeting, or you will get them sent out to you directly. Keep those breedings going and have them registered. Notify me as soon as you see the fry, so that you will be eligible for the breeding trophies. Cheers  Paul Breeding Coordinator
  17. Right. Lost the first lot of fry and currently on my second lot. this time I can see the fry, last time I did not see them at all. Now, the true test is in regards to trying to raise the lot. but I have another 2 Golden Saum in the tank as well as GBA and little tiger plecs. fingers crossed this time, and regular water changes. heaps of plants in the tank too, but if Mr and Mrs Saum keep digging them up, there won't be.
