Sadly not as I haven't really got a lot done. After we lost everything in our main tank months ago we took a break and only been working on our SW tank over the last few months. I'll probably start back on it towards the end of the year (Oct?) Thanks for asking though. I've been trying to get motivated to get back into wanting a breeding setup

An update, had my mate double check and cert the multibox. Made a few planned changes. Put the needed safety features on the box. And fitted. Tomorrows job is to make longer leads for the wave maker pumps... 2 on the far end don't quite reach the controller

for lighting untill I have the money for the LED setup I want, I'm going to use a 400w & 250w MH I've got lying around. As for skimmer, aqua one 220 till I have a few things in the tank. by then I'll have a better skimmer. Thanks Livingart, it has been a battle not to put anything in the tank so far

Half of this was for the fun of it. I've got a few things I want to try so this will help when I start building a few different controllers if I go with some ideas I have

All the double outlets are second hand, all in good con and paid $5 for the lot. About $16 for the cable and leads. About $10 in the wood used. The 4 single outlets are the only thing I had to buy new at trade.

I know a few sparkys, I can do the cabling myself, just not qualified to work on the mains board

Slowly getting everything sorted and setup. tank is 2000 x 650 x 700mm and sump is 1000 x 450 x 360mm ( W x D x H ) Tank has had water in it for about a month, and heaters and pumps have been running for 3 weeks. Have no idea what I'm doing but having a lot of fun reading what other people have done setting up there tanks. Ammonia 4 ppm Nitrate 20 ppm Nitrite 0.5 ppm not much to look at yet but here is a few shots

I've all ways disliked the mess of cables from lose multibox's on the ground under the cabinet. Thought I would share what I decided to build for the saltwater setup I'm doing. this is only a temp design untill I have the money to remake it better with a few nice little add on's The top row and the left 2 on the bottom are on one circuit, and the middle row and 2 on the right bottom on a second circuit. The wall outlets they plug into will be on different circuits soon, this is so if one circuit in the house goes, there will be at least one heater on the tank running.

Got a letter from 'Colourful Holiday' today, and so did 3 other people I know. Some how we all won the 2nd place, which they state there is 2 chances to win the 2nd place prize. So I did some research on them. Scam of coarse. If you get a nice booklet and a few scratchy tickets, don't fall for it. Will try to upload a photo of the booklet in the next few days if any really want to see it.

where about do I buy that from? local pac'n save doesn't have it

Its taken longer than planned to get my ro/di unit, is there any one in the Wellington area that would be happy to pass on 40L, I would be happy to pay for the trouble. Flick me a pm if you can help

That was the original idea with the 850L.... lost a lot of plec's :cry1: ... so that tank is going to become a saltwater. Once I get re motivated to finish building the fishroom, that where the 500L will get upgraded to something bigger, and they will move out there where I have more room for a better setup

I'm going to keep the fire eel in the 500L with just a few other fish once I set everything back up. in early march this setup I was working on - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=62398 I had a complete mis hap with some fish I got off trademe and lost all most all of my fish. a part from a few still in holding tanks for other setups. So I'm looking at for the 500L (upgrading later) Fire eel 4 port hoplo cats 1 Royal plec as for substrate I have a good amount of black sand from the big tank to use to make a good thick layer for him

I thought about that ages ago but didn't like how everything would sit in order. I get what you mean, but with how I'm wanting it to look in a year with the plants, mainly the 3 stumps on the left hand side is why I've left it that way. Thanks for the input though

Just an update, couldn't wait any longer from putting the plants in, so moved all plants from there grow out tanks :lar: Sorry about photo's, only working camera is my cellphone Have some more plants showing up over the next few days :happy2:

In saying that dattofish has giving him plenty of time to fix the problem but only been stuffed around. I would keep fighting for 100% refund if not made correctly, but thats me. sometimes it is easier to cut a loss. If you did want to fight it, tell him "small clams court, or refund. Under the consumer act you have had plenty of time to fix the situation" I wouldn't trust a new tank from some one at that point cause they probably wouldn't put the effort into doing it properly. But as I said just my 2 cents

I'm waiting to cover about 40% of the wood, mainly one of the big stumps and the two middle bits. for the rest dwarf sag and cript around it. Uaru's are in there own tank at the mo but will probably sell them soon

So started last week bit by bit setting up our 850L tank So far.. Yet to work out lighting and stocking. Decided the Fire eel will get his own tank for now and get something better once I've built the fishroom Got plants growing in another tank and waiting on some plants for the setup. Will update once there in :happy1:
