  1. ah ok, good thing I haven't put to many snails in there tank yet . I'll have a good surf on the net today and see what other live foods they like best and see how I get on
  2. oh ok, so is it actually bad for them to have blood worms often? even though there will all ways be snails in the tank? Where can I find a good area to get freshwater shrimp from in wellington region? They will be in a 35 liter tank for the first 2 months of there life (there only 8mm long at the mo) then will be moved to a 110 liter tank
  3. Thanks for the info. acara, the Colomesus asellus look awesome, sort of wish those were the ones i'm getting. Have quite a few tanks and snails in most of them so that is not going to be a problem, and what i've read is they like to be feed blood worms so that is what I was thinking of giving them. I believe that they are dwarf puffers (but could be wrong, they look like them) will post a pic later
  4. Name: Vince Sex: Male Age: 25 Status: Engaged (lucky to some one that keeps telling me to get more tanks )
  5. I'm getting 2 puffers in a few days and have researched most of what I need to know, but thought I best to ask to see if any other puffer owners had any info they would like to share? One I would like to know is what temp do they like best?
  6. I'm setting up something similar and from what i've been told have 1 male and 2 female of the smaller kind. 2 or more male in a tank that small and your asking for trouble... well thats what they told me lol

    HI all

Hi and welcome to the forums
  14. Welcome to the forums. Find a schooling fish you like and maybe start with 6 - 10 of those and add a few cory's and a bristlenose... or wait and see what other ideas you could find. Its hard to recommend fish not knowing what you like but maybe neons / harlequins / golden barbs, those are what I looked at when I first got a tank

From what I've found, a cave is a must. I use stones and haven't had any problems.
