  1. ninja'd! :bounce: Welcome!
  2. pfft. your tank has no water in it. copy all you like nick, that's why this thread is up here.
  3. lol, thanks antwan - how is that moss coming along? yes it is; and yep all the ludwigia types are in this tank.
  4. yeah. eheim = jager. they wont re-brand them. its a separate division within the same parent company. just like fluval = hagen = glo t5
  5. The old rena's were the best heaters I ever used. bought one from france about 12+ years ago. it died (inaccurately heats) 2 years ago. ive been using eheims for 2 years now, the old fluvals before that, and i was not thrilled with them. +1 for the eheims, as far as i am concerned.
  6. buy an eheim. The first thing i ask people is where the tank is. if its in the lounge, 95% of people will pay 4 times the price for an eheim. They do not make any noise, and they work well. I have a brand new eheim 400 pump and its brilliant. its total over kill though, and i may downsize.
  7. hi from windy, dark and cold palmy. did i mention windy? our trees grow on angles here
  8. dunno but youll have a great big bubble nest if the male wants to breed.

  10. Thanks! The tank is still a baby and has only been up for a month? maybe less? actually a month today! one month already? those plants certainly have grown. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=42877
  11. curses  I like hoplos.
  12. yeah... you need a bigger tank or 5 by the sounds of it
  13. that is microfolia. im getting some soon to cover any visible gravel.
  14. yes. has to do with osmoregulation and functioning of vital organs - particularly the kidneys. 8)
  15. gah. ive sold all my marine equipment. though i must admit i have never once thought of TDS's in respect to breeding fish. you have got me thinking now Thank you.
  16. what were the water parameters? I have the right cave or 5.
  17. I would say it has plants in it. I consider my tank planted- or almost heavily planted if I absolutely had to, and tom barr's tanks heavily planted. my tank is prob. half way to being heavily planted (lots more plants can be shoved in im sure). your light will grow stargrass. even indian fern would look nice.
  18. light blue hopefully. edit - light blue is nitrite.
  19. that plant is indeed Zealandia sword. if the corkscrew val is doing so well, spread that out towards the back, and perhaps try some stargrass?
  20. nah, thanks, I have something similar with a reddish yellow orange leaf that has cracks in it. well they look like cracks. well like shattered glass. its pretty cool, but hard to photograph cause its in the jungle somewhere.
  21. Does any one else out there have L002? And has any one else bred them here in NZ? Thanks!
  22. im sure they will. good lights and green fingers and you're already more than half way there. :bounce:
