  1. Yep I agree with this list too, but I'd take out the deftones, marilyn and rage agianst and replace them with the gunners, bon jovi and nirvana
  2. I could do it on MATLAB also if you like?
  3. how is minitab cheating? I could do it in excel too if you wanted me too it just takes longer
  4. Adding your age brought the female average age up to 35.5, but the graph still looks the same and I can't be bothered putting it on photobucket again
  5. You just like that you're younger than average
  6. Now its my turn to procrastinate while doing an assignment. Heres the normal distribution of peoples ages by gender. Turns out the women are older with an average age of 35.1 while the guys are only 27.7 The average age overall is 31.3
  7. I don't mind being second in line
  8. Ignore this - hit the wrong button
  9. It's a show where purebred 2yr old bulls are shown/judged and then sold. You have to apply to get into it, and can only get in if the bull gets through a series of tests - temperament, size, structure, type, EBVs etc. That bull came 4th out of about 35 and sold for $5500 We have ~60 pure simmental cows
  10. It can't have a normal distribution as the data is not continuous, it is discrete Edit: I'm a scorpio btw
  11. but it would only filter the water 427.5 times an hour  7 times a minute Don't put a betta in there tho, the flow just might be too much for him Put it right next to a big tank to heat it
  12. I've been looking at that too. I like the idea of the rotating spray bar, but it could make a bit of noise if under high flow?
  13. My bull at the Beef Expo 2005
  14. I'm going to taupo and back to Palmy on easter saturday
  15. Name: Olly/Oliver Sex: Male Age: 20
  16. Cool Would they work inline? I want to put it on the way down to the sump, behind the tank. This would allow easy access to the sock which would need cleaning fairly regularly, and give me more room underneath the stand for the biological media which hardly ever needs cleaning, just checking Any other ideas what would work as an inline mechanical filter?
  17. I got a 20kg bag from Palmers for about $15. Make sure it is small enough for what you want, I think it goes up to 12mm. When you get it take a sample and check the pH by putting it in a bucket with the water for a week because research I did on the internet said that the pH of scoria can vary a huge amount, so check it before you commit I washed it through a sieve and put what was left in the tank. It was enough to cover a 1.5m x 0.6m (5' x 2') tank about 2-3cm deep. I would use a finer sieve if doing it again, there was a lot of stuff that just fitted through the sieve that I would have rather kept
  18. http://fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37676&sid=b96221b5c481fd82992622c00d708404 This one? I used "Daltons fine scoria" from Palmers
  19. Can we get filter socks for mechanical filtration in NZ? The national aquarium uses them (I should know it was my job as a volunteer to clean them all) but they probably import them I'm planning on building a sump similar to the one in this thread, just smaller. I'm wondering if I can get hold of a filter sock or two to use as mechanical filtration, so I can have the max volume of biological filtration in the limited area under my stand http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=190168&highlight=herbie+overflow
  20. A bit off topic, but what sort of semen?
  21. It had a metal seal that was definitely sealed before I opened it
  22. Today I brought a can of fish food I opened it to feed some to the fish and it is crawling with beetles It is a Wardleys cichlid crumbles from USA I have put some in the freezer and will try to key them out and identify them once they have died. What should I do about it? Do I need to tell anyone? I hope they will be unusual enough to get me some bonus marks in my insect collection for my entomology paper
  23. If you do this and they are really noisy with low/no flow, tip it forwards until it goes quiet and has good flow. stand it up slowly to get the air out
