People rarely come and visit my tank anyway. And once they're in thinking the charge is optional I can threaten them with my attack wolf if they don't empty their pockets...

Sweet, do that 3 more times a month and it should pay for the electricity to run the tanks! BTW, anyone wanting to visit my tank is welcome to leave a donation too.

That looks like the plastic mesh they use for, I think it's called, cross stitching. Girly crafty stuff, should be able to find it at an arts and crafts type store.

Brackish water fish generally are evolved to handle wide fluctuations in salinity. I think a hydrometer will do just fine for a brackish tank. Just don't leave it floating in the tank, take it out after testing.

It was on the piece of rock I was trying to superglue a finger leather frag to and wiggled across into the superglue, so I tried to pick it out...Yeah, bad idea... It's ok, I scraped it off :lol: ...I think he's a goner though.

The only problem with distilled water(Other than it uses a stupid amount of electricity so is more expensive than RO) is if the condenser uses copper coils. Otherwise it's all good.

Errr...That's not the way you do it. I suppose it it would work if it were a square because that's what you're doing. Turning it into a square of the same perimeter...Which you can't do because it's not a square.

Just break it up into shapes that are easy to calculate their volume. rectangles and triangles, then it's all math they teach you when you're about 10. Find the area of the base, multiply by the height gives you cubic centimeters, 1000 CC/liter. Not exact because the front corners aren't perfect triangles, but it's close enough. Call it 145 liters.

I guess you have a higher opinion of the NZ media and authorities. I'd expect the headlines to go something more like, "Wellington resident violently resists confiscation of dangerous illegal animal from his home."

Same here, the pump in my MCE600 makes a lot more noise than my laguna PJ5000.
