Hi, just trying to see how many other people from the dunedin area are members and what types of fish they keep?

plus if i had spent that much on a fish id be so scared of doing anything wrong and accidently kill or hurt it

no way could you get one in dunedin hard enough to get different types of cichlids other than electric yellows or zebras

i think waiting a few more weeks till 8 is best dont want to be getting into trouble with maf

They are meant to but she stopped feeding from bout 2-3 weeks and we couldnt get her to even get in the box with them. So got bottles and a milk replacement powder but they have picked up feeding from a bowl very easily.

Really i thought they would of been fine to go at 6weeks since they dont get milk from there mother and havent for 2 weeks but we have been giving them milk to make up for it. They eat and drink like normal adult dogs do really. No worries then 3 weeks till they can go 2 there new homes

Its so hard to take good photos. Will try and take more seems to turn out better at night rather than day not as much reflection on the glass

Ryanjury what types of peacocks and haps do you have in the same tank?

would love to have them to breed and sell but i dont know if there would be much of a market as such down here. What types do you have in together?

Yeah it seems to work well the funny thing is i have 2 gouramis in it also but only one death so far apart from all the neons . The pleco seems to be the psycho fish in there

Yeah i think i might not put any fish in the new tank and just move everyone else but them over. I dont have rock caves in my tank ive made them from bogwood instead so i have plently of caves for the others to hide in for now im just amazed by how many eggs they are laying . Ive only had these 2 for a couple of days now but the oscars seem to be trying to spawn also. My house is turning into a zoo

yeah i know there africans, one tank is empty and the other has jags, oscars and different lake malawi cichlids. Dont mind if the new one has africans but just after the more colourful types. Any you can suggest

Ive got one tank set up as a african cichlid tank now we have another 500 l tank was going to set it up as another cichlid type tank is there any fish people could recommend? was thinking of peacocks cos i like all the bright colours.

we have 11 dogs 1 dog, 10 puppies 6 oscars 2 gouramis 2 jags 25ish guppies million snails :evil: 2 kuhli loaches 3 plecos 1 23cm upside down cat fish 1 fire eel 1 electric yellow 2 kandangos and 8 or so assorted malawi cichlids

i have 6 oscars 2 at 30cm and 4 at 10cm, 2 jags and about 8 i dont know what types they are

Wanting to try and catch alot of red ramshorn snails i have in our guppy tank prob have a couple of hundred of them in there now :evil: . Was going to make some sort of trap like a container with bait in it with tiny holes so the fish carnt get in but snails can. Has anyone else made something similar or have any ideas?

You can also buy hydrogen peroxide at the supermarket pak n save sells it here it would in the same area as all the medicines stuff is kept its bout 5 a bottle i think
