    I woke this morning to find this the seed pod had burst open spreading thousands of seed everywhere The seeds are small and black covered and a clear almost jelly like coating, it is this that give the seed there buoyancy

    Yes the first one I think I successfully pollinated it with its own pollen, because of the development of the fruit/pod. The second I'm am going to (right after this post in fact) pollinating it with the pollen from the first flower which has been stored and hopefully viable.

    lol update: no seeds yet from the first flower, 2nd flower is starting to open, 3rd flower is confirmed.

    I have a Navman and it is great, it has been around the US and was indispensable. Great for people like me who ain't so great with direction :oops:.

    I'm not really tempted to eat it I want to see what it does. yea I have had it a little while cant remember a exact date but 8-12 months around the same time as it started flowering I did add another bulb to the light hood, did have just one t5 power glow but then I added a 10-14000k bulb to it. could the shift in the overall light spectrum have triggered it?

    I wish I knew what I did to make it flower so we could get every ones flowing at once to swap pollen.

    The fruit thing from the first flower its about 30mm in diameter now

    ok so the second flower is out of the water now and getting bigger, and I think I can see a 3rd at the base.

    My thought exactly. So if any one starts to get a flower, yell woohoo and once you have finish calibrating give me a yell and ill send some pollen. Another quick update, the 2nd flower is just over 3/4 of the way to the top and the first flower is definitely plump'en out into some kind of a fruit.

    I don't think they would, but there is no harm in try on a few.

    smidey: that is a good point i would not eat something i see as a pet, but for example a tank filled with koura that i have raised to be eatten i would.

    and I am glad I am not you. yes there are farms dedicated to them. I have been told that they taste very good.
