  1. Well my 3rd flower has just opened tonight, how do you get them to stop  The second flower has released a second batch of seeds Anyone had any luck with the seeds?? no signs of any sprouting for me
  2. Well as for algae I get BBA on some of the slower growing leaves of my anubias nana and some green aglae on my wood but not much. I have also increased the water changes and it is helping slowly. I was thinking of a plec or something smiler as I think they are pretty cool and if I found one that could help the ottos out i would be killing 2 bird with one stone. This is a very good point and something I was thinking about but forgot to put in the original post. I quite like the idea of a whiptail or two. Ok so some whiptail Q's Will the chop on my plants? Will they be aright with my other fish? (as above Otto, Australe and clown killies, Corys)
  3. mmm whip tail now there's an idea
  4. Ok so I what to add a Plec or BS to my community tank to help control BBA and other alge, I have ottos in there but they need a helping hand. I find that GAE's and SAE's digg to much. So the requirements. I hope something can fill them all - Have to be ok with Killies, ottos and corys - Doesn't dig - and i'm on a budget so some of the very cool 8) plec might be out of the question
  5. The couple really like the look of the killies standing in front of there tank for some time, but then didn't give them another look after the comment "but they only live for a year". I find it sad because they are missing out on some very cool fish.
  6. I bet rusty taste good with buffalo sauce.
  7. mine has, well its not quite poly but it does the same job, it sits between the moulded plastic base and the bottom sheet of glass.
  8. 1 X 200L planted 1 X 120L planted 2 X 40L breeding tanks 2 X 20L breeding tanks 1 X 160L daphnia tank out side (can I count this?)
  9. I haven't used a tablet but I use JBL balls and they a brilliant I give them a 10+
  10. My corys loved going in them eating all the food then wait to be let out  . I didn't have much luck gettin' snails with them either.
  11. Yep I saw them when I was there last.
  12. Probably not the 400kg they would need to be if the stayed on what the tank was full. I believe that are just there while the tank is being built, "the wheels are just to move while working on the tank".
  13. My mum has recently (her M'day prezzy) got 4 Cockatiels, so I just got some questions for other bird keepers on here, I think these afew? I keep hearing around the place about "bird auctions", is there anyone who can shed some light on this? Is there a forum like this for birds? And one of the Cockatiels has had some of its tail feathers abit beat up and have just notice that one is bleeding a little at it's base, we thought it might be going thorough a moult as it is about the right age for its first but we are unsure, any ideas? PS I think she might have MCS. multi cage syndrome
  14. anything else other then snail you can get them to eat to keep there beaks down? have you got the same little blue eyed puffers as me dixon?
  15. yep his tail is a little raggardy but im sure it'll come right. have only had em a week Atm they are eatting snails and grindal worms with the odd daphnia and live blood worms. Was the LP all puffed up Imsmith? yep they come up to the glass when ever some one comes into the room to see what is going on.
  16. unfortunately the fourth didn't want anything to do with the photo to busy at the escargot buffay  At the moment they are about 13mm and they grow to 20mm
  17. Post your pics of your puffers, just got these from HFF and they are so cool!
  18. You can put different species together if they are different enough from one another that you don't get cross breeding going on, I'm not an expert on different combination but I have Australe and clowns together. You can also put males together of most the specie if you want a display, you just have to be careful about the sizes of the fish because if it can fit in there mouth they will eat it and a killies have a big mouth.
  19. Then you sell them a coffee  I can see the picture, it is in a Forbidden land and I don't have permissions to see it. you sure the link is right?
  20. [Edit] Double post sorry
  21. with guppies it is one species with different colour variants, now killie is a term for many different species and each species may have different colour variants. [edit] have a look here for great photos http://www.alfanita.se/english.htm
