  1. Well, I have thought that if you did keep them, and they bred, DOC couldn't excatly tell you off, I mean isn't that kinda dumb? But who knows about governmant departments
  2. Thanks guys, Prob have enough to get bigger tank now, but may have to downsize bed  And a small bed isn't excatly ideal for um, well... the funky chicken, if you get my drift 8) Sounds like a great idea Smidey, but still have to get a stand done. Any suggestions? I don't excatly trust myself, but 96 litres of water in the carpet, well I can safely say mum would kill me  Both Brichardi and Lelupi look good, what are yours Smidey? (meh we can talk tomorrow, 7.30 ) Thanks everyone, George
  3. there will be heaps of slaters in one. Now that its dark, flick on an outside light and wait 8) If you dont have one, and don't want moths inside, shine a bedside lamp at a window and go outside. Soon, moths should be whacking into the glass. HTH
  4. :bounce: Ah Ha Five
  5. Use your imagination. Run a net through long grass, leave some old meat out (it WILL smell), whip a net above the compost bin, turn over stones and logs to get worms, slaters. They will eat pretty much anything small enough. I have read they're not allowed spiders and those green shield bugs. HTH, George
  6. Long story short, I have an empty 2 foot (http://fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/african-tank-vt29868.html long story here ) And wanted Africans for it. Any more suggestions? Other selections are Am liking the look of labs (lots and lots of Ls  ) Cheers, George

  15. Hey all, Last weekend I aquired a free tank (gotta love auntys ), 60*40*40, and was thinking about what to do with it. I want to move my angels (currently in a 60*30*30) but then what would I do with their tank? So... then I thought about Africans. I know near nothing about them, apart from the fact that they have a high pH, and look good . Is 60*30*30 big enough for some? not very many, perhaps 3 or 4. I have some sea shells that came with the tank. Am right in saying that they raise pH? Mmmmm - will definately post more questions later. Thanks in advance for all the advice that I'm sure to receive George P.S. Tank won't be setup for a wee while as I still have to sort out a stand
  16. Oh hehe, and I forgot (maybe frogot?? Haha I know) Welcome to the forum :bounce: :bounce:
  17. Pharoah's a cool game... Good on you.
  18. Hi there, Go for a walk in the bush with a small shovel type thing (maybe a spade head or a trowel) and dig up plants that look exciting to you . Yeah its a bit naughty but there's lots of plants out there. Take a bucket too. And perhaps a pair secateres (sp. I know tehe) I wouldn't bother with a fogger, just nip down to Payless Plastics etc. and get a spray bottle. Easy and rather cheap too. Have a look at my terrarium also  It's just down the page a bit. HTH George
  19. Just divide all dimensions by 10 and then multiply.
