I was just looking at this http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/3-vt25 ... c&start=30 Very nice but tank but in the last pic with the fish, on the left hand side are those orange and white things polished rocks. You know the ones you can buy in $2 shop and you see in pot plants. Are they aquarium safe and will the polish leach into the water?

They usally apear if you stir up the gravel

they are harmless I think and I saw one of my danios eat one once. If they are annoying you just change the water.

ive seen those worms in my tank before. They are harmless and disapper with a water change. I think they live only dirty water or something.

How big are they? hopefully they are whose little harmless white worms you find in the gravel some times.

ive covered the tank with blankets and done a big water change. I am going to leave it for about 4 days and then do another water change. I think this should be ok.

a guy I know's tank got down to 15 when his heater broke and all his fish survived. But a few weeks later all his fished died of ick

do you feed when you put the tank in total darkness? and for how many days?

i feed twice a day with resonably small amounts (just a pinch) I feed flake food and sinking pellets which is mostly eaten by the danios and occasionly i feed the GBA cucumber. oh and i do 50% weekly water changes

will no lights for 3 days kill plants or only algae? and I dont have a nitrate kit, should I get one and are they expensive

no way am I spending 70 bucks for 34liter

I have a 34L tank with plants and a few fish. I have a horrible green water problem were the water is a murky green colur and you cannot see the back of the tank, but the fish to not seem to mind. I have have the correct material in the filter. It all started when I went on holiday and the water was not changed for 2 weeks. No mater how much water i change it always comes back. My nitrite is 0 so is ammonia. What can I do to clean up the water apart from empting the whole tank? :-? :-?

I dont really need feader fish but I was confused about why u hear of guppys as feeders when neons are cheaper. Im just interested

unless u hitch hiked

should be fine but the barbs might nip the guppys a bit. And bring up the neon and danio schools up a bit

wouldnt the cost of petrol make it not worth it?

they are catfish that lay the eggs with the cichlid eggs then they hatch in the cichlids mouth and eat the baby cichlids?

must be an expensive hobby up there
