it should do, when we had lil chiks we used to feed them eggs until they can eat. also depends how small the sparrow is,if its so small it cant eat itself then eggs will be the only option,but if it eats itself then some flies and worms and eggs as well will do the job... thats what i didnt after i found out milk was nono . with other birds of cours,and they turned out fine.

WHATEVER YOU DO DONT FEED HIM ANYTHING THAT CONTAINS MILK! I had a baby bird as well i fed him with bread soakd in milk and it died eventually. As i found out later birds dont ave something in thier bodies that can handle milk. so milk works for them like slow poison. but i know for sure whats great for them,feed him crushed boiled eggs,they love it,very good for them. thats about all he will need.

is that because you renting out? coz i see you live in auckland =) we paying for everything so ! We were actually gona move to hamilton in the begining of last year but ended up settling in auckland.. so it gets me thinking now.. was that the rite decision ? :roll: :lol:

oh cmon its dogs not fish, some crossbreeds of dogs are nicer than pure breeds. and they much more clever most of the time.

yea they do,they breed like rabbits!,incredible parents and so facinating to watch them with their babies. Mine were agressive to other fish but never agressive enough to actually hurt someone badly, You gota have enough room for everyone though..

ive got malawis,peacocks,they do that sometimes too

cmon people its not hot enough for me in new zealand im from russia and our summers are way hotter,we have like 37C in summer. then we cool doen to 30C in winter but yea i wouldnt mind it to be a bit warmer,i cant even go swiming coz its too cold for it.. and no thunder... what summer is it without thunder storms! i miss home..

i like part about shaky untoned thighs I am only 20 and i go to the gym not less than 3 times a week and i still find it hard to hold myself above the toilet seat!!!!! so i dont think its about age really

Maybe i will seem extreeeemely dumb for not knowing this but... why heaps of fish swim up and down along the glass in the fishtank? always interested me why,what they doin and possibly what they thinking? r they trying to get out or they doing that coz they bored or what.. there is always a fish who does that. NOTICED SOMETHING NEW!! one of the NOT eating males was picking algae of the coral and plants! so he was eating ! he just doesnt eat my food... this morning they were swimming like they really hungry,as soon as i gave them food,they of course didnt eat it.. and acted like they not hungry at all.. just diging the sand and doin their deeds... But why do they eat the algae and not the food !? :evil:

jezz!! thats scary, didnt think its that bad... they dont look like they sick or gona die or anything... but yea hu knows... realy really dont want to loose 2 of my fav fish... oh someone sed somthigng about my peacocks breeding, i dont really care even if she would have spawn with someone else , i dont keep the babies they get eaten...

internal worms??? jezz! so how do you treat those? whats the name of the cure?

hello ryanjury, yes you rite ive got africans,peacocks . yes the poo is long and stringy and whiteish, i had a fish with a bloat before as i was feeding them bloodwarms but i dont now,the have been eating these pellets for about half a year and never had a problem,but suddenly they just stopped eating,anything at all not only just the pellets,i asked at the hollywood fish farm they said mite be just getin fussy about the food thats why dont eat.. although just at the moment im looking at one of them and he is picking the algay off the coral... and hes the one atm thats got long stringy poo hanging of his anus... LOL definately not holding as they are both males :lol: my female is holding but not males lol. they both look very healthy,both swimming around and one of them is even trying to breed with the female thats there currently. but yea... hopefully not the bloat,as i had that before and it was a deadly experience... literaly... i am suspecting they both got white spot disease or what everyone calles ICH... maybe it is because of that? I am about to treat them with the Cure so maybe that will help the eating and the itching ... although they must be fine if they trying to breed... MAN i wishthey could talk and tell me....

Hey two of my fish dont eat.. they havnt had anything in a couple days already,they will come to grab the food but end up not getin it,the rest of fish eats away. maybe those two just dont like what im giving them anymore? they always ate it before,does anyone know why that would happen or had similar thing hapen and how to deal with it? I give them cichlid pellets and blood worms every now and then ,the dont eat either... i feed them normally twice a day ,in the morning and at night

yea mite be! totally forgot about ammonia test! lol so water change should get rid of ammonia? i actually recently had a massive water change like 50 percent if not more.. but thanx for help anyway!

Ive got malawi cichlids,peacocks only. I notice that some of them rub themselves on the coral or even on the ground,like they scratching,and also sometimes they will shake a lil and quick like they trying to shake something off. What is it does anyone know? is it something to worry about or just a lil bacteria that will go away,they did it b4 but then stoped for a couple months and now one of them is doing that again... any help would be muchly apreciated Also notice some of the fry do that too,but not much,only saw it once...

i had convicts breed in my big tank and i actually just took them with the net and put them into other tank ,they tiny but they were fine.

when my was about to spit out i just left her in a separate tank and she spet out whithin a couple hours 75 fry! =)) a lil clod of fish. But thats actually a good question,when will they become food to her? and will they? :-? thats what i was wondering
