Hey there ive tried out a planted nano tank,its tiny its about 13 liters.. i was just thinking what kind of fish i can put in that tank? i need cold water fish as i dont want to try n fish a heater in there.. so.. if you know some real small caldwater fish could you please tell me =) cheers

aww what happens to the babies? i havnt actually seen many olden rams in auckland, i think i saw one on trademe, i wouldnt ming getting one or two yea i like dragonbloods they nice. my male is light orange with red closer to his gills and his got turquose-blueish colour all through him, if i had a better camera id take a picture up close

dam dragonblood... hes still scaring poor lemon jake male... how long does the fish usually stay.. uhm.. on heat? lol when he will still chasing everyone? its been a couple weeks already and hes not gona get it from a male thats for sure lol , his female is too young to breed so i dont want to put them together..

those females all look the same... all smaller and blackish sometimes black.. why couldnt they difer them sumhow, i mean god,couldnt he like make the females of each type differ :lol:

thats weird, when i looked at his male he looked like mine... yea i think now tha tmine is royal blue, dam i beta email those people.. if you will get to carl earlier than me tell him its royal blue... oh well thanx =) now at least i know for sure sure sure...

here found a video of him, the video should help maybe, hes chasing other fish in the begining and you can see him sideways, then he with his front and the rest of the video hes like that, they think im gona feed them. its an old setup btw. theres a link to another video as well .

the guy that i bought them from sed they were both the same type , when they bred the babies turned out to be the same as the father... they not brother and sister though... dam now im so comfused.. who is he who is she... aaaaaaaah my head. imagine how they feel when they dont know who they are they probably depressed :lol: i would be

how to tell the difference between the females though? to me females of chilumba and royal blue look the same, my female is really dark,pretty much black. and look to be the same shape to me as royal blue females... ? how do i tell the difference?

oh thatd be hard to do! il see if ive got trademe emails still saved thatd be the only way as i dont keep the emails in my mailbox.... although most of people that bought them just liked that they were blue thats al.. as i said before some of people didnt even know they were freshwater... so had to explain al principles of keeping them... if you see carl though or have contact with him you can suggest that they mite not be chilumbas, althought il still take some pics and will try to double check what they are.. what if they really are..

yea i guess they really got lonely hehe, yea it was an ich. all symptoms of it. i increased the temperature as sed on that article on cichlid forum... will try that as the ich stuff doesnt seem to work...

LOL the other one is not interested anymore but the other male is still chacsing him around and trying to breed, hes geting calmel now though.. im trying to get rid of ich by treating them so they prolly not keen on breeding at all now..

i dont care if you say hes royal bluefor sure il be thinkin that hes royal blue.. i am comfused myself, didnt do it for getin more money as i simply didnt know that it would even matter how much they will cost and al that. but now my mind is disturbed and i want to figure out What he actually is!

good point , and i dont want it to hapen either. that was the last batch of babies i kept i cant be bothered with more. from the begining i just wanted a show tank. but seriously now tha tgot me thinking, if we name him a royal blue and he realy isnt , it doesnt mean that there wont be cross breeding, it just means we wont know about it. so whatever we name it its not gona help...

well if everyone would be as encouraging to breed as you and some other people are there would be no peacock breeders in new zealand left at all in a very very short time.

you know what i was just thinking, its quite sad. how people always arguing about knowing more about fish, who knows more who doesnt. seriously im sure so many people were put off fish keeping because of some smart people trying to show off their knowledge. i keep them not for what they are but because i like what they look like. hybrid, not hybrid,OB not OB, chilumba royal blue, who cares? i like him would he be electric blue. most people who buy my fish dont expect it to be anything. some people ask me a question on my auction saying : is it marine or freshwater??? :lol:
