  1. What is the minimum tank size for these guys?
  2. Quite a large tyre track eel, took the "filter" end off for cleaning in 5mins he was up there wrapped around the propellor
  3. You mean you do not do this already? Sheesh! I spent most Saturdays doing this They have to clean the glass after me cause I am too close and leave drool marks
  4. The tank is opposite a sunny window and has some algae eaters in there, but I think every six months or so I may just have to give the tank a good clean myself.
  5. Thanks for a very detailed answer, I will try it this weekend.
  6. OK after many debates with the partner we have decided to go marine. Now I will admit I know barely any-thing, but I am going to start on a step by step learning curve, and am not going to rush and do this over night. Now I have a 320 L tank on a rimu stand with hood. No holes drilled out. Filtered with a Fluval 204/205 will double check that. Jebo Heater. Nothing fancy. Now I want to start by asking what basic equipment do I need? Brands, sizes.. i.e skimmer, lights, filters . . . Followed by items needed? (externally) i.e refractormeters My goal by next year (will need to fund the project as I go, yes I am prepared to spend money) is to have a marine tank, fulled with live corals with a few fish, clown, tangs few others in mind. Hope some-one can point me in the right direction!
  7. Hopefully tomorrow is sunny and will leave them outside while I am at work! I do not want to try bleach as knowing my luck . . . Good old scrubbing it is.
  8. I have not kept up with my strict tank cleaning schedules due to study, so have pulled my cichlid tank apart to give it a good clean! My question is: how do I get green algae off calcite rocks? -Currently using a scrubbing brush and hot water but leaning over the bath is killing my back, any-one use any-thing else? That is more faster. -This does work, but it took about 25 minutes to turn one green rock to a lovely white rock. I have a variety of sizes! HYH thanks
  9. Well we got the kitten last night, she is 6 weeks old, so still tiny and I can't beleive we can't give her a name, more to the point we argue over names, so I think Ginger or Gingee will stay for now although partner is determined to stand at the porch and yell GING-AHH
  10. I have a ginger kitten (female) who has no name, can you help? Looking for some-thing a tad unsual.
  11. Not sure just yet haven't got around to measuring it. I think about 12-15
  12. I Dont Know BUT THEY ARE AWESOME!
  13. Also does any-one have a smaller heater that would fit in there better they would like to sell?
  14. It is a 13b Housing with a FISH TANK! Polished and looks fantastic on my mantel piece! Made for me by a guy in Aussie. Currently housing 3 guppys, it is bigger than appears before some-one goes on about the "leg room" or "fin room" to be exact.
  15. Haha I am on first name basis at my LFS and am nearly there weekly (- AYE CHRIS!!!!) I would take a day off to go "fish browsing" but ive taken 3 days off cause im crook with the flu (maybe I passed it to the fish and died from a bad dose of influenza? - ) Like Jude said, it could have been any-thing - maybe even my own? To clear it up all fish brought were from "fishkeepers" and not a pet shop. But I brought two lots of fish, both are scaleless (in my opinion are more prone to infections) Like you guys say, it could have been any-thing BUT whitespot was visable. Thanks for the heads up guys and gals
