  1. Although it wont help in your situation of not being able to move your tank, black vinyl from a sign writer or similar is the best IMO. Stuck to the glass you get a even, flat look with no glare, wont fall off and the ease of just pulling it off in the future. Can get any colour under the sun too! Did my tank for about $20 (applied myself).
  2. I just pour boiling water over it. kills anything on it and is as white as white after a day or 2
  3. Went to do some christmas shopping tonight and come home with King's of Leon- only by the night, The Feeler's best of and Disturbed- indestructible for myself and nothing for anybody else?! :-? 8)
  4. A BIG hook out there, lot's of shark's to play with! 8)

Hey. I ditched the stocking for some filter wool, and now all is well! Fry are coming along good to. Good idea with the fish net too!
  6. With alot of the "chip's" or "re-mapping", A/F ratio is leaned out. That is how they get the "more power, bigger economy" claim's. Ie; A certain well known Commodore ECU re-flash. Most manufacture's err on the side of caution with there A/F ratio's
  7. Pass?! They are white are they not?? (correct me if i'm wrong, I've never fed them?! )
  8. Just done a water change on my fry tank and when I checked the bucket incase I'd sucked up any, I noticed some sort of "mite" looking thing's swimming around?! They were black and only about the size of a pin head. Anybody know waht these are??
  9. I've got some fry in a Aqua one AR380 and unfortunatly some got sucked up the filter intake so I decided to place a stocking over it. Now it's just dribbling out of the filter instead of flowing (obviously because of the restriction). My question is, will this be bad for the pump?? Surly not a good thing but anything to worry about??
  10. Yeah Murry Powell! That's him! wow, small world!? LOL @ blaze of glory! 8)
  11. Excatly. Maybe he did'nt have the right size??
  12. I have heard the same thing about leopard's and cheetah's livingart. My friend's grandad started the zoo here and had a fair bit to do with big cat's. VERY interesting man to talk to! He has never had much good to say about the lion man either.......... I think it's wrong to "tame" a wild animal. If we are trying to "save them from extinctsion, should'nt we leave them with the skill's they allready have??
  13. I've failed car's on WOF's for NOT having them......
  14. ha ha ha. well said! I have no doubt's at all that he generally care's about consevation ect, but some of his way's of going about it are strangein my mind. Think he push's his luck with the big cat's too.......
  15. Ive got a 200l in my house (old state house) and had NO drama's at all. Infact that's part of what appealed when I brought the place was how sturdy they built them! Oh, and once you have ha few mate's around you can easily have 400-500kg's in a small area just standing in the kitchen?! I would'nt be stressing at all 8)
  16. Somthing weird about this guy I reckon...........
  17. Sound's like centric ring's to me too. Like the person from the Silvia forum said, He discussed there may be a issue, there is, and he is trying to fix it. I find it a bit weird that he want's to come and pick the car up, allthough he may just be trying to offer a bit of customer service. I say give the guy a break. As for the insurance side of thing's, your car will be covered by HIS policy, so there's nothing to worry about. As a mechanic, somtime's a over prtective customer can be a real pain and get in the way of diagnosing a problem. Give him a chance to right his wrong I say?
  18. I added platty's to one of my tank's and it helped with this problem?
  19. All my gardening is done with round up  8) 8)
  20. I've never had a drama with either of mine? I'd go for the 1200 as you can allway's use it on another tank, but cant really upgrade with the 700
  21. I use a credit card or similar when cleaning the glass on my tank. If I notice any substrate/sand ect on my wood I use the credit card and "wave" it near by, so that the water current blow's it off?! (If you get what I mean??!!) Seem's to work ok
