  5. I came home with a bottle of Daphnia for $3 from the Tasman Aquarium Club buy/sell/swap meeting on Sunday. I had a 600x300x300mm tank lying around not really being used so I decided to set up a bug tank with my new Daphnia I choose a nice sunny sheltered spot outside on an old wooden table.

  11. I meant all the planets in our solar system
  12. 2012 is when all the planets and the Milky Way galaxy align. The gravitational pull from the planets and the galaxy and solar radiation from the sun is supposed to make the Earth rotate around it's own core and cause massive tsunamis, earthquakes, eruptions and changes in climate. Apparently from what I have read Aussie may be swamped, but NZ will be pushed higher out of the water. So hopefully we'll be OK. But I still can't bear the thought of a tsumani, and I hate living in Blenheim - Blenheim is just a giant flat plain surrounded by hills, so it's basically like a bowl. What's the story with water + bowls... :tears: Her's some other stuff that I have read... http://blog.2012pro.com/2012/how-to-sur ... -australia http://www.shtfplan.com/forecasting/ger ... s_10142009 Everyone seems to have different opinions on what may happen. I just hope it is like Y2K and everything stays the same. I still haven't got my high-tech tank with metal halides and pressurised CO2 yet, and if this happens I may never get the chance to do this ever again :tears: If I survive I'll be stuffed - I'd have nothing to live for :tears: ...
  13. The heater is to low a wattage. You should have something about 200watt. That's what I use in my 150L and I've never had any problems. Yet when I had a heater that was 150watt I had the same issue as you.
  14. 150 Cardinal tetras or 65 Hemigrammopetersius caudalis :happy1:

    Nannacara anomala

Cool thanks for that guys. Man that sucks that there aren't any around anymore
  16. I've got Emperors and they're really cool. Rainbow Tetras grow to about the size of Emperors, and their care/breeding is very similar. So their size is probably around 5-7cm.

    Nannacara anomala

Hey guys, Just out of interest, do we have any Nannacara anomala around at the moment? And does anyone regularly breed these fish? Thanks, Joe
