  1. I wasn't offended, but I just don't like seeing fish being sold with false information because it is being untruthful to the buyer. But if that's what you were told then I guess it isn't really your fault for putting that on your auction, and that is great that you'll remove it. Awesome stuff  Good luck with the sale and hopefully someone will buy it. It's such a cool looking fish
  2. Awesome! :happy1: Photos please? :bounce:
  3. I'm thinking of something that will let me get closer to the subject of the photo. The smallest I have is an 18-55mm lens, so basically something smaller than that. Here's a photo of a seagull I took while standing on the deck last week using the telephoto lens.
  4. Maybe I can see if I can borrow some fancy lenses from a professional photographer for a couple of days?
  5. Looking awesome! Nice work on the trifasciata fry  I don't like how your friend on TradeMe is using false information to sell his fish The fish will certainly not end up looking like the ones in the photos. We do not get fish here in NZ that have solid red on the fins, and his one is quite yellow, not even close to orange even! It is still a nice fish though.
  6. Awesome thanks so much for that link Sadly I don't think my lenses are good enough to take photos like some of those though
  7. I think you could change the title from "New tank to be set up..." since it is already up and running :happy2:
  8. Haven't tried Hikari but once I've finished the Omega One flake I will give it a go and see how I find it Also I forgot to add the Omega One flake smells very natural and it does not cloud the water unless you soak it in water and really crush it up before putting it in the tank (this is what I do for the worms), and even still it doesn't actually cloud the water that much.
  9. Thanks Wairau Lagoons, Lake Rotoiti, Lake Chalice, Red Hills and Kaikoura are some lovely places I've visited with awesome scenery. Some more photos from the last few days.
  10. Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph these fish and upload the photos. The fish are incredible and your photography skills are excellent What camera/lenses are you using?
  11. I use it and it is one of the nicest foods I have ever bought. However my fish will not touch any dry food of any description, so I feed the flake to my blackworms and of course I feed the worms to the fish
  12. Yes I know that is what you said. Look at the photo of that female that I posted. It does not have any black on the ventral fins. While that is a common characterestic and is always present on wild fish, like Godly3vil said these fish have been so over-bred that sometimes some of them display male characterestics or are missing certain traits that usually females should have.
  13. If people have ideas then I'd like to hear them, but I just created the thread so people could look at my photos if they are interested.
  14. That's what I was thinking too...
  15. Not necessarily. I'd say your fish is a male though, from the looks of it. I could be wrong though.
  16. Beautiful fish and awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing
  17. No I'm going to be posting photos that I take with this camera from now until I have to give it back
  18. I'm borrowing a Canon EOS 400D for a few months so I thought I should create a thread of the photos that I take with it. Canon EOS 400D Digital SLR Camera - Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 1:3.5-5.6 II - Canon Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III - Marumi 58mm Skylight 1A Here's a few so far. More to come at a later date. Thanks for looking
