  1. Bio-Supply Turtle Treats?
  2. It shouldn't be too bad on plants because the formaldehyde (gas) component should begin to dissipate fairly quickly at normal aquarium temperatures, but at the same time it will drastically reduce oxygen content, which is why its generally recommended (and more effective) to use dips - you can use concentrations that would otherwise not be sustainable - plus you don't have to use so much.
  3. Nice one! Get your brine shrimp hatchery ready now.
  4. I think you should just go to 8mm glass.
  5. Doesn't happen to me - but I keep to my maintenance schedule.
  6. I often does, but I suspect I would lose the battle of the wills rather than the fish!
  7. You might have to give the Knife Fish up - it will not do well in that company because as you've already noticed, the other fish are much more aggresive. Once the Oscars grow, you will have even bigger problems, so you should think seriously about what fish you really want to keep and select appropriate tank mates now, before things get worse - in the meantime, get a tank devider to segregate the clown at feeding time.
  8. Then there's the other 3 x 4' freshwater tanks and the Turtle's to clean... and the female Oscar will bite you...
  9. It should be - there are some photos a few pages back of happy anemones in RSM's - plus mine will get plenty of food too...
  10. They are bored - time for a new environment?
  11. There are a few 'in storage' at the back of the tank, so there may be more to come.
  12. Come on people, post some pics...
  13. Oh yea... I spent three hours on it last night - that makes about six hours so far this week. You guys might have to take turns...
  14. So, I've 'traded a few of my corals back to the LFS to make room for some different ones...
  15. Cheers, wasp. Some of the info on the web is a little contradictory, so I'm glad to have guys like yourself who have actually kept them make comment. I really have to get a bigger tank by the sounds of things...
  16. Err... not really - its a refugee from someone elses tank - it is fascinating to watch, but I really don't know much about it. The spikes are sharp!
  17. It does look nice - its sitting in about 2 inches of substrate in a medium flow - I'll feed it and try to get a pic of its backside. Are you saying that I should get to work on my 30,000 litre tank now?
  18. If you buy good quality gear to start with you will be rewarded in the long run - your tank will run much better, your livestock will be happier, and last longer. It doesn't take too many dead fish and corals before the cost of a good skimmer seems cheap.
