    cows milk is pretty hard to digest for most animals, goats milk is better but not for birds HTH

    needs to be a big uv unit to cope with the algae i stopped using the uv unit and the S.A.T did the trick

    have it setup to backwash but still have to dismantle every couple of months to clean properly there are a lot of turts in there though

    personally as they are good muck producers, i would run pumice with a prefilter of filterwool whatever you use will probably need regular cleaning or water changes in the pool i use the TLC Freshwater S.A.T on their pool to help the bacteria in the filter out is the pool concrete or another material? Donnam runs grass carpet on the edge of her pool to avoid the turts scraping the bottom of their shells i have pumice here if you want it

    what sort of pond you doing, ie: size? i use spa pool filters cartridge type on the eels and sand filter on the marine also used a large pondmaster pump flowing into 200litre drum full of pumice

    i have been using bromeliads and mosses and jave as hans has said i don't use plants with spiky leaves though

    should just atrophy and lose muscle mass but so long as circulation is still there they won't drop off maybe build a little skate board for the back lejs, just make sure bindings aren't that tight they cut off circulation and you may have to manually remove skin when he sheds
