    i remember as a kid watching my uncle reo, 6ft tall, riding a horse with a baling hook through the gills of a huge eel and its tail was dragging on the ground by at least a foot

    from memory beardies don't have discs in their spine so can be prone to problems i have had x rays for arthritis show no results but anti inflams worked depending on the diet visceral gout could occur at any age methinks you will need too talk to the vet i am just a layman

    Vit B's will work as well berocca tablets, marmite etc i just find marmite works well as a pick me up

    i would run with not fully developed egg partly calcified hopefully it is the start of her cleaning herself out did you try the marmite?

    no food so could just be urates, but a funny colour and consistency for urates i would expect internal bleeding to be black it maybe a partly formed or decomposed egg sorry can't be of more help :dunno:

    you got a microscope to examine that? try smearing it on clean glass and see what it looks like is the colour in pic true to life maybe egg yolk?

    it was returned to the stream system as it wanted to go to sea have shut down a lot of the big tanks in ready for the move

    maybe he is that good a possum hunter they are getting scarce :happy1: needs a new income now sad to see people catching the big eels as these large ones are the future of the species which is under threat in most parts of the country

    the big ones are all females that haven't gone to sea to spawn yet maybe 60+ years old
