Im looking at setting up a 220L native tank What native fish can you keep? Where can i get them from? What native plants are out there and how do i get my hands on them?

Just poor petrol over the poly and it melts it. Them just clean off the petrol and put in a pool or something and let it leach...thats my plan

I think there are some in my tank on the side in small groups, but they are sort of crunchy when i touch them? Are they eggs? There is only snails food and water in the tank so i think they are eggs but am not sure. How long do they take to hatch?

Its a bit of a iffy situation in nz with the gecko's now. We hand a license to keep them and now you cant get license's to keep them and our license has expired, so we have fallen into a black hole with the legality of keeping geckos. Our green gecko's just keep breeding and are not the easiest things to look after in regards to food. The reason that some exotics have been banned is what would happen if that snake you had escaped and started to eat native wildlife? There are any examples of exotic wildlife destroying native bush and killing of other animals around the world....for example the Possum here in New Zealand

If wanting to use CO2 what is the best bottle and regulator to get for under $150? Can i use a bottle from a paint ball gun? If so where do i get a regulator from?

YIKES!!!! Empty the tank and clean the substrate. I had this problem (no as extreme as yours!) and i took the gravel out and washed it in a big tank of water while in a cloth bag.
