  1. edit my bad need to learn to read... lol height is 62 not 64 and the square is 21.5 not 43
  2. Its 62(the height) x [[146x64(the large retangle)]-[21.5x24(the missing corners)]] Therefore 62 x[9344-516] 62 x 8828 =547336 cm3 547 L * the to missing corners add to become a square 21.5cx24cm which is 146 - 103 divided by 2, and 64 -40
  3. Whooahh cool. Well done. might want to make the pic's smaller, or fear the wroth(sp*) of admin.
  4. yup the plant i took from the tank, then put in a glass, 1/2 submerged died, came back to life, shot out some new growth, then the new growth stayed alive and the rest of the plant wilted over. cut of the new growth and planted it in the tank, and at this point is still alive.
  5. thanks. Will do one more dose tomorrow, then a large water change, then slowly lower the temp back to normal over a few days, and all should be well. *crosses fingers* Thanks for everyone feedback and advice.
  6. YAY i'm winning. I bought a different batch of blue circle white spot cure, treated them with it yesterday, and today no more spots
  7. Yeah I got carbon in the filter now, to clean out the chemicals, then I'll continue with another 3 doses. and repeat if needed
  8. it can, but at this point they are still gorwing out of control
  9. I judt did about a 35-40% one. and added carbon
  10. and i dismantled my Co2, so the jet of water breaks the surface...look cool under blue moonlight  8)
  11. based on that, i'm happy with your 8 tablespoon recommendation. I'm going to stop using the blue circle white spot treatment, and stick to salt at 30degrees. So far since Saturday, I have dosed with Blue Circle White Spot Cure, raise temp from 27 to 30, and added about 6 tablespoons of salt. At this stage is a large water change advised? followed by more salt. or am i best to leave it, and do water change if water conditions deteriorate (ph, nitrates and the like)?
  12. so how much salt should i use next time?...after 75% water change tomorrow.
  13. water levels as in Ph etc?
  14. Yes after the salt I have seen some improvement.
  15. I didn't put on 8 tablespoons in, I think i got to 5 or 6 beofre i got yelled at  :-? ok i'll stop my Co2 system. and take some water out so the water waterfalls out of the filter.
  16. sorry, its says, do a complete water change between the 3rd and 4th dose. at this stage do a 75% change? Also, I have raised the temp to 29-30, do you recommend leaving it there for 24hours, then lowering it to 26 for 48hrs then back put to 29-30 for 24hours, and keep repeating the process till gone? LMAO the person who buys the salt, was not impressed
  17. Like table salt? could I get a dosage please, 60L tank thanks. and I'll turn the temp again The blue circle direction, say to do a complete water change, is this necessary?
  18. doesn't say sorry My LFS was aware the whitespot is on clown loachs, I take it your asking because the loachs are sensitive to chemicals?
  19. is the fermenting stuff DIY (in the Co2 setup), or packets stuff from your LFS ?
  20. Is that between each dose? or after the 3rd?
  21. cheers, its already at 27, but I'll turn it up
  22. Thanks I'm using "Blue Circle, White Spot Cure" Do the 3rd dose tomorrow, then a large water change, then do it all over again? Are there perhaps better treatment, or natural treatments I can try, I read about salt tonic?
  23. I treated my tank for whitespot, on Sat and Mon, Still hasn't cleared, Before doing a third dose, I'll just confirmation that this is whitespot. It's only visible on my clown loachs. Thanks
  24. so, if I nip off the new growth from the plant thats growing in the glass, and plant it my tank, it should grow?
  25. I got a DC power supply (from jaycar $40ish) and its adjustable voltage, so to make the light dull I just turn down the volts. Jaycar also have a range of lights which will be sustable. PM me for details
