how many should i use for a 1350L x 600W x 500H

i have seen a couple of tanks that have energy saver bulbs being used for the lights and the plants looked like they were growing quite good. ive also heard of a few other people using them. Would anyone recommend not using them and why. this seems like a much cheaper way to go than 2 x 150w MH

We have a gas fire which we use most nights for atleast 3 hours per night with the 2 45kg cylinders outside each cost $108 to fill (you can not take them to a petrol station to fill them :lol: ) they last 4 - 5 months. hot sure how much the hot water heating will cost but i think it is meant to be cheaper the electric hot water as you only heat what you need.

I thought about a fighter because you always see them in those little containers at pet shops i might have to make one now :lol:

A few people breed brother and sisters to form a pure colour/strain/line as when people crossbreed fish to make pretty fish for their own pleasure. then spread them around and we get weak fish. then very experienced breeders need to get the back to the pure colour because we have run out of pure one and we are just left with mixes. one breeder might have on batch of fry which are very close to the pure colour so you pick the best ones from that lot then breed them, then pick the best lot from the fry, then breed them etc....... Which is very time consuming and not easy to do. Hope that makes sence :lol:

Make sure the air pump is still going sound like there might not be enough air are the putting their mouths out of the water.
