My BN's, GBA's and guppies love watermelon. I am just abit worried about the high sugar content, is the sugar bag for them?? I am half expecting the BN's to climb out of the tank when I am sleepimg and re-arrange the lounge furniture with there sugar overload.

  15. Where can I get one way mirrow glass from? Would like to built a breeding tank with one way mirror glass. theory being is that I can look in without disturbing the fish, some fish are shy and don't like it when I come into the room and watch.
  16. Hello, Yes, well, I am one of those people that don't worry about matching the water temp. But when I do do a water change, I add the water over a long period of time, at least an hour sometimes two. I do this for two reasons, firstly so there isn't a fast drop in temp and secondly if there is a difference in Ph between ph in the tap and the tank, then the Ph will change slowly. Man alive, if I was in Chch, I would even do water changes. I would setup an overflow on the tank and continuosly add new water at a slow rate, equal to 5% of tank volume per day.
  17. I am not planning on taking any. Just want to see how it grows in the enviroment.

  20. Thanks for your input Supasi. Wondering, Do I need to be registered to be a repairmen or is the EST A enough?
  21. That's good advice ryan. I'll look at doing the electrical service technician A course. I have seen the smartdrive machine generate 700volts. Hmmm. The motors in the smartdrives are 3 phase but the appliance plugs into a single phase. So is the appliance considered single phase needing EST A or is it considered 3 phase needing EST A & B.
  22. Do you need to be quaifed to be a washing machine repairman? I had to fix my washing machine the other day, the seal had gone one it. Was given a quote of $450 to fix by a repairman. I got the new parts for $45(new seal and bearing) and spent an hour fixing it. I thing is, I had fun doing it, and would like to do it for a job. side note. If your washing machine is old like mine (10yrs). you should pull out the bowl and give it a clean, there was a massive gross amount of scum build up on the bowl.
