Was there a male with her? The fertile eggs are VERY difficult to see. You may have fertile eggs in the tank. Wait a few days to see if you got any fry. The fry are even harder to see than the eggs. They look like tiny slithers of glass.

I think that that Novotom will be TOO big. You will need to start them off on infusoria for the first week. Then week two infusoria and BBS. I did my ones as a pair, and all good there.

I spawn them two days ago. Still not free swiming yet. If you look at the bodies of the fish an igore the fins, you should notice that the females have a rounder shape, the males are more elongated. I suggest a marble bottom tank because they like to eat the eggs. Also bunches of plants. They like to spawn around plants and objects. Be sure to get up early to watch the spawning. It is cool.

Been thinking about setting up a DIY co2 system. But I am wondering how much co2 needs to be added. Can there be to much? Looking at doing it to a 54ltr tank. I have heard of bubble counter, but don't know what they look like. And I am too cheap to buy one. Ideas please

I have had pearl gouramis with guppies and neon tetra's before. Had no problems. I think the guppies were more aggressive than the gouramis.

I have been told that they don't like containers with clear sides. Also the water needs the be murky. I add grass clippings if I see the water strating to clear.

wow!!! ammonia 5ppm. I would be doing twice daily 30 percent water changes with that level and keep doing so untill it droped below 1ppm. It puts your filter into question. it is not doing its job. I don't know what filter you got, but I would reckconmend an external canister filter like a Aqua One CF1000 or simialar. I've got one on my 130ltr tank haven't clean it for 3 months now, and it's still going good. got 40 zebra danios and 10 guppies in there.
